    Weanlings

Hi Lyn, I have a high fat, high fiber also. Would that be something I should consider putting in with it. I have been sneaking a wee bit in already, but wasn't sure if I should.

    Weanlings

What amounts do you use? I am weaning at 4 mos. as I find mamas getting a bit run down and don't want her to get real thin going into winter. I have a couple of them being weaned together so they have a buddy

    Weanlings

I have been feeding Big'un 300 to lactating mares and foals. I am weaning foals (4 mos) and was wondering what the amount per foal should be. They also love beet pulp as mamas get it as well. Oats are available here as well. (The Big'un 300 is 16% Protein with 2% Fat, 8% Fiber)

    Soaring Gas Prices....

Still cheaper there than here in Ontario. This morning the gas was 1.19 per litre. I think if I d the math correct that works out to be 4.51 per gallon. Boy, that just about makes me cry, nope down right BALL. Good luck to all those going.

Need help for pot bellied mini

I do use loose, free choice minerals as well, but do like the idea of having the block out there as well. I don't think the block by itself would be enough. I thought I had read earlier that you used loose minerals and had hoped that the block would be another idea for you to put into the...

    question at foals first trim

I personally ( without seeing her ) trim the toe a bit more than the heel. When you clean the hoof you cn usually see the amount that needs removed. I have rasped mine a couple X's already and they are 3.5 MOS. Hope all goes well with the trimming, and you might want to try regular rasping.

    Joint Ill

So sorry for your loss Lyn, a crying shame the diagnosis didn't come sooner. I had heard it goes like a house on fire. It is a sad thing to see the wee ones sick it tears at the ole heart strings. Glad your foals came through it okay Jan. It sure sounds like an terrible experience for them to...
