    HOMOZYOGOUS Colors

Simply- the black is dominant over red so if you have a homozygous black to homozygous red you'll get a black foal with recessive red. Tammie D - I have a horse that is said to be homozygous for appaloosa(sno cap and few spot)...This to my knowledge has never been proven gentically, but I am...

What would you do in regards

I've actually had to address this situation twice. Both times I emailed and said that I noticed my photo was on thier site without my permission. One I asked it to be removed, the other I said they could keep it on there as long as they gave a link to my site. Both did as asked Tammie

    My new boy!!!

Congrats on your new app! Wonderful coloring! He's a "near leopard" because he's got the coloring on his lower legs, neck and face. Since he's only 3 he could shed all that dark body hair and look like a full leopard. The dark leg is unusual (and very interesing!) but doesn happen in apps...

    Height

I like them leggy and anywhere from 32" to 36" My stallions are 26" and 33.5", my mares range from 31.5" to 37" Tammie

    mini andalusian?

I would hope that the breeding was AI (artificial insemination). I'd be concerned about the stallions large size hurting a small mare. Tammie

    Need advice

Short term till a vet comes I use Pepto Bismol (generic works fine) or "pink stuff" as it's known in my house My first guess as to cause would be something in the feed or if she is eating leaves. I feed two different feeds because two of mine are sensitive to something in commercial pellets...
