Here are the different buckskin colours:
Buttermilk Buckskin
Golden Buckskin (Buckeroo)
Smutty Buckskin (Not the best example, but all I could find-some, like this one, look like bays!)
Silver Buckskin (Kyan-Hope you don't mind Liz!)
I can't think of any specific stories that I remember, but every spring break and summer I looked forward to Marty's stories about the boys and their escapades. They were always some of my favourite posts and behind all the craziness, you always knew that Marty was having fun and loving her...
It's surreal to me that it has been two years since this world lost such a beautiful soul. I am crying reading your poem and thinking ab out it even now. There is no words I can say to comfort you and Jerry and Dan, but I will say that I still think about all of you and Michael regularly.

It's too bad, but I'm glad it looks like he's alright.
The general consensus is that being taken off of the steroid that he has been getting for the last several months could have been a factor.
Like Margo, I could see that he wasn't the same horse. He broke cleanly, got into a good position...
Ten minutes to post, riders have just been called up and my heart is already pounding and my stomach is in knots and the butterflies are fluttering. I sure hope he gets it!!! The only horses that I see posing a challenge are Denis of Cork, Anak Nakal and Guadalcanal.
I've never seen that version of Grosbeak in anything but a book myself! We have Pine Grosbeaks here quite often. They are very pretty!
I love Mallards! We have several "welfare mallards" who have decided the free meals they get in our barnyard are much better than finding their own food!

I think the "Canary" is a Female American Goldfinch.
The other unidentified bird is a Rose-Breasted Grosbeak. You can tell Grosbeaks by their beak. It's very distinctive
There is a great site I go on when I can't identify a bird. It's whatbird.com
Very nice pics!
The unknown bird looks like a Flycatcher to me, perhaps an Olive-Sided Flycatcher or an Eastern Phoebe (though I'm more leaning toward the Olive-Sided). Very pretty!
I saw my very first cardinals last week in Ontario! I was very excited!
Thanks! I had a lot of fun! So did Dave! (haha I think he was a bit surprised about that!) You can be sure I'll come and visit if I get to London again!
