I enjoy nonfiction and think the aurhor did a good job of telling their story along with their place (town/country) and situation. I did take flying lessons as an adult for a brief while and have nothing but respect for the pioneers!

Very mild in the 30’s and low 40’s and very dry. Tuesday it went nuts and we dropped from a high of 45 degrees to (-10) by Wednesday morning. Fortunately, it warmed up quickly and today is back to the mid 30’s. The lack of snow is worrisome.

Poor Willow and Charlotte! That is so painful to see! We haven’t had a horse tagged by a porcupine but we did have a dog. She was sore for a few days after the incident with swelling but recovered well.

Believe me, I understand not calling out the vet if you can avoid it, but as the bite has worsened over time, their input may be necessary.

What could cause that bite beyond a bee? I would call the vet and see what they think necessary. Do you have spiders or insects that are venomous in your area?
