From human experience I would say go back to a full dose for 3 days. The rebound is horrible. Then a half dose for 3 days. Then a half dose every other day for 3 doses. Horses may react differently to it than we do, but that's what I would do for myself.

Yes, they get a new coat twice a year. If you clip him, sometime in fall it will all shed out and he will still get his winter coat. Most of mine get a trace clip this time of year to make them more comfortable. But you may want to see how he sheds out before you go to the trouble. If he sheds...
