    Living Alone With Minis

Congratulations! There are 20 to 30 minis a few miles from us that are full time on grass. Mine was on full-time grass until we just moved but will be again as soon as I get more fencing done.. Now it's free access to hay, some grazing and a few cups of grain in the morning. Always had good vet...

This was the elves workshop that will be relocated for the hen house. The chickens are for eggs for our farmers market that we are building and mature/bug control also.

The best thing I have used for a feed room in a 6x12 enclosed trailer. The front half is feed, tack and medical supplies and the back half is hay. I just hook it up,go to the feed store and have them load it. When I rotate pastures I just move the trailer close to the gate. The trailer is 1/2...

So our ferrier is also an archeologist who has dug all over the US and Central/South America. While we dig for utilities, footers and slabs we are looking for artifacts. Today we found a fire pit from about 500AD, a spring fed river and some flakes and arrow heads from about 2500BC. Not far from...

    Do people still rescue?

Our mini was a $580 rescue from Craigslist. He was 6 months old, living in a small dog enclosure and fed 2 cups of alfalfa a day. Our mini donkey was abandoned on a property that was for sale because they couldn't get him in a trailer. Out OTTB was going to be put down because a ferrier's...

    New farm!

So 6 hours, heavy sedation and 3 professional horse trainers we were unable to load our thoroughbred in the trailer. He was in a severe trailer accident a few years before we got him and has equine ptsd. Our mini would jump in and out of the trailer but we had to leave them at the old house...
