    HELP IS THIS NORMAL!!!

A real simple way to test if it’s true wax. Try to express milk to ph test. If you can’t, it’s not wax. If you can and it tests high it’s not wax. If it tests low, then it may be wax. But at this point she would have been waxing for almost a week which is an unusual length of time for her not to...

I GOTTA BE THE PERSON.. THOUGHTS??

Looks like she’s testing 6.0! So yes, baby time any time now! If possible can you get a pic of her udder? Assuming you don’t have a foal by next check. That might help give an idea of time. But most mares foal within 12 hrs testing 6.0. Some do go longer but they are the minority.

    HELP IS THIS NORMAL!!!

I’ve looked. I have numerous pictures of identical overzealous plugs for weeks before foaling. Actually some more than a month out. It’s just my opinion. Doesn’t mean I’m right.

This is a full udder with wax.

I GOTTA BE THE PERSON.. THOUGHTS??

Looks very close to 6.8 I agree! Looks like milk is going white too! Can’t wait to see the baby! Hopefully she continues this progression and doesn’t stall, you’ve waited long enough hahah.

    HELP IS THIS NORMAL!!!

No that is not at all what I was saying. I was referring to your previous post before you started wondering if the others might be in foal. You had said you would never ever do this again. I was saying it’s hard when you only have one and it doesn’t end up with a happy ending. It’s hard enough...

    HELP IS THIS NORMAL!!!

Hard to tell from just pictures unfortunately… I too hope that they are somehow hiding a foal. It’s so hard when you have ONE and that one was a bad situation, so I definitely feel for you.

I GOTTA BE THE PERSON.. THOUGHTS??

I agree, definitely lower. Are you reading taking pics after the strip drys or while it’s still wet? I can’t tell in the picture but looks a little dry. Usually there will be a specified time limit to read them. That MIGHT explain the two tones. Of course if you are checking within that time...

    Kacie's Pregnancy Watch Has Started

Ditto to what everyone else has been saying! Hopefully you’re on the mend and Kacie is doing well!

I GOTTA BE THE PERSON.. THOUGHTS??

Lots of improvement. I would guess her udder gets even bigger but you never know. I agree with Taz, predicting foaling is quite hard. I’m quite curious what her ph is as well.

I GOTTA BE THE PERSON.. THOUGHTS??

For ph you do not dilute. Only for hardness. So it may read lower diluted.

I hate being that person... But.... What do you think

I agree with Taz, there are some options for cameras that you might consider. They make such a huge difference. I know some people use cameras that run off of cellular data.

I GOTTA BE THE PERSON.. THOUGHTS??

It is for sure! It’s just hard to base it off one sign. For instance, this mare was this elongated as a maiden more than a month before she foaled. Isn’t it ridiculous that they refuse to go by the rules lol??? You’re right about the fact that the baby WILL come one eventually lol. I just wish...

I GOTTA BE THE PERSON.. THOUGHTS??

Personally I think you may still have a bit. If it’s true wax, you shouldn’t have a problem expressing milk since it would be leaking on its own. That udder really isn’t big enough to be truly waxing yet. But you never know for sure! Just saying it may still be a long foal watch. I’ve seen them...

    Im officially on watch

She may not get TRUE spots. Although stranger things have happened. With LP it’s always a guessing game. She could never grow a white hair or she could end up completely white.

Congratulations! Definitely bay based! But I would bet money she carries the appy gene LP. See the white hooves? They will end up striped and she will likely varnish over time. So she is considered a bay varnish Appaloosa.

Awwww he’s very cute! I edited my reply, supposed to say baby, not bay. Although bay is a possibility 🤣

    Im officially on watch

Looking pretty promising! Do you have pics of the sire? Remember minis don’t always wax, so being on high alert like you are is exactly where you should be! Bet you have a baby in the next 24-48 hrs!

    IS THIS NORMAL?

I would agree with you, probably a bit longer but you never know lol! Blanketing is probably fine at this stage and she probably needs them! I understand that struggle. I’ve clipped several of mine because it’s been in the 80s and 90s. But now they are predicting lows in the 30s this weekend, UGH.
