Hi everyone I’m so excited to say we’re at 261 days😭still so nervous everytime i look at her, but hey her udder looks good so i feel the antibiotic did the trick🙏🏼 if what they say is true and they can have their babies as early as 300 days we’re very close to full term🙏🏼

Hello, I ended up taking my mare off her antibiotic about three weeks ago per the vet agreeing it’s the right thing to do but I’m keeping a close eye. She was on it for 100 days maybe a little more actually, her labs were taken prior, CBC, chem panels, SAA inflammatory everything came back...

Hi, 210 days and still here🙏🏼just had another pregnancy panel ran. Back a couple months you can see a photo on this post it showed her progesterone at 125 days in foal at 25.5ng where as 4-10 is adequate pregnant mare level, and according to what I’ve read progesterone levels decreases after 180...

Thank you❤️I’m really happy with the way her udder is looking so hopefully that’s a good sign that everything will be ok.

Yes it certainly was😤In all honesty she’s a little thick but she’s not fat. I feel she was using that because she couldn’t answer any of my other questions, maybe a little embarrassed, so she had to come up with something to take the focus off of pregnancy. Do you think chunky affects a mare...

Thank you so much for the kind words❤️ I had a vet come out today that I’ve never met for a second opinion, it was such a bad experience she was awful and so rude and she knew nothing about the hormone levels in pregnancy and then threw it off to “I’m not a repo vet we don’t take care of Mini’s...

She’s pretty small about 30 inches. He said the wand is horse size that’s why he won’t do it, they don’t have Mini Horse wands. I use another vet as well, last year when we had a pregnant mare they wouldn’t do an ultrasound either. Yeah I’m sure there’s lots of vets that do it in different...

Wow sorry to hear that☹️I have a different vet coming tomorrow, going to redo the bloodwork and a second opinion which I feel like I need and I guess I’ll just go from there

They won’t do wand internal ultrasounds on mini horses it’s to risky. He said i could ask the equine hospital if they would, she’d have to be sedated as well, not sure stressing her out would be a good idea either. He also said at this stage of pregnancy a twin could easily be hidden behind the...

I think the antibiotic is doing its job isn’t this so much better??? Also found this see photo. It clearly says placentitis is associated with a high progesterone level

Ok I really need some expert opinions right now :( my mare is confirmed pregnant. Her progesterone is 677(see photo) he said it should be at least 1000 or more he’s putting her on regumate. My question is, does anybody know or have experience with low progesterone and what causes it? My vet is...

She’s even more down tonight here’s a pic. Still waiting on test results, rear end is so hard for me to call I sometimes think it looks suspicious, but I don’t know☹️she did have a damp spot tonight about the size of a dime right below her vulva, it could’ve been urine I guess but of course it...

Thank you❤️and I agree completely! I gelded my last stallion shortly after she was bred, so this is it and I’m nervous because I really want this last baby, probably the last one I’m ever going to have. He couldn’t express any fluid to confirm mastitis at that point, but he said that was good...

My vet came out today he did confirm she has a swollen warm udder. Her SAA was zero which is wonderful so no infection showing but she has been on SMZ for about a week. He upped her SMZ to 5 pills every 12 hours, took a pregnancy blood panel so it will show fetal hormones as well as hers to...

This is tonight’s photos, I think it’s really obvious now that it’s down don’t you think??? I’m super nervous about this pregnancy because she’s so early, hoping I’m not prolonging the inevitable which will be far worse later on. If anyone has alot of experience with placentitis please tell all🙏🏼
