I have a pony with really bad asthma he’s on hydroxyzine powder daily just a tiny 5cc scoop in a little grain once daily and he’s completely symptom free no nebulizer ever. I highly recommend as this pony if even one day is missed will be symptomatic and as for the pulse and me being asthmatic...

I tried to get the angle straight on but she’s just learning to trust me and actually let me take that picture without haltering and holding her still so i was afraid to take to long as this is new trust, but still progress❤️

I also don’t think I want to know I think I’d rather just wait it out and hope he’s right otherwise I will sit, stare, cry, stress out waiting for something bad to happen to her baby which could take a few months.

My vet ended up starting her on 3 SMZ tablets twice a day her nose was a little gross today. He said it’s safe and is what they use for Placentitis in pregnant mares so for me not to worry about the baby if of course there is one.

You’re so right it’s VERY frustrating. I’ve already been in contact with them they called in the antibiotic, I picked up a 500 pill container of SMZ, some Banimine paste and Neomycin Polymyxin B for her eye. He’s just swamped and unless it’s an emergency which he knows I’d call in a second then...

The mare is coughing a bit more today, a very dry cough not junky at all, no discharge except from one eye which I’ve been putting medication in. The stallion is on an antibiotic because his nose was super snotty and gross. My newest fear now is they could have EHV does anyone know anything...
