:aktion033: I was really shocked to receive this the other day from ASPC/AMHR/ASPR Triple A Amateur Advantage Program. . I also get to pick a prize, A shirt, windbreaker, grooming apron, or garment bag and they are going to have it embroidered. It made me feel a lot better. after the rotton...

should county fairs colllect health papers for minis?

I don't know if this helps any or not. But it makes me feel better. Before the fair. I always spray down the stalls with clorox/water misture and let it dry before taking the horses in. We are usually in the portable tents/stalls that go from fair to fair. So far (thank God) we have not had...

    what to whear to show

I wear long sleeves. But take along a short sleeve shirt. Sometimes when it is very hot they will anounce relaxed showing conditions. The judges really understand and do not want anyone passing out from the heat.(this does not mean tank tops or things like that). Hope this helps. Deb

    Show program finally online

Thanks for the update on the show information. I got my paperwork downloaded and will be sending it in in a little while. Thanks for all your hard work. This is such a fun show. The only down side is it is usually hot, but that is August in Pa. We got a canopy now so the horses don't bake...

Roll Call, Meadville Pa. 18 June, AMHR show

Here is the run down on the classes. It starts at 9am. and can go pretty fast if the classes have only a couple or no one in them. But then again they can go slow if there are a lot. It all depends on who shows up and what they are showing in. : (the class numbers all start with a 1 that I...

Roll Call, Meadville Pa. 18 June, AMHR show

It looks like we will only be doing halter classes this year. I have been working with my driving horse but the more I try to work on his problems the worse they get. And I don't want to get anyone hurt. I am seriously thinking of having someone else train him. We had an accident last year. He...

I really was going to lock the barn doors .....

:aktion033: Corinne Congratulations on two beautiful babies. Now just let that fairy go. I don't even care if it is a filly or colt, just a healthy little foal. I have been on mare stare for just one baby since the end of April and no baby yet. I am begining to think this mare is just pulling...

    Is anyone else still breeding?

Yes, I have one that would not show heat last year. I just thought it was because she liked the babies. But we have not had our baby this year yet. And she still has not shown signs of heat. Her mother was showing real heavy heat in early May, (that is to early for us to breed) So now when the...

I heard today that he was doing well. That he was a little fiesty (do not know if I spelled that rightor not) : . He even tried to nip at someone. They are happy about his attitude. That it is up. But they also said that he is not out of the woods yet. It is a serious injury. I really hope he...

    Is 10% iodine ok?

Our Vet told us to mix the 10% iodine, (10 part water- 1 part iodine).. That is what we did last year and everything went fine. I put it in an old film container. It fits pretty good and not so much liquid to get you drounded in. Deb

I am glad that Libby will be making the Randolph show. I will be bringing a horse we got from her. (Misty Rose Sgt Pepper), I know he is still very rough in the maners area but you have to start some where. : I can understand about the weather. It is still droping down into the low 30's at...

We have 15 mini's. All have very nice feet but one. It seams that his heal does not grow at all and it looks like he grows ski's. My farrier does not know what to do about it.
