I've very rarely seen a mare get completely "slab sided", but the shape of the stomach does change shape as the foal moves into position for delivery. This is why I always look at the position the foal is in, by standing directly behind the mare. As the mare enters the last trimester, the sides...

From the pic you posted on the 4/7 to this one, there looks like there could be some slight swelling in her nipples, so could be the start of her producing an udder.

You dont , thats the AMAZING part of having a pregnant mare. Along with that comes, sleepless nights , toothpicks to hold your eyes up and an endless supply of coffee :) Have you had the vet confirm she is pregnant ? She should look a lot bigger than what she does in the pics for 338 days...

The center line should start to disappear on her udder as it fills that last little bit. Good luck, Not long now, wishing you a safe foaling :)

Maiden mares usually carry "higher" up in the rib cage, so makes it less visible to notice in the early stages.

Thats ok , when was she actually bred ? Looking at her udder , I would say she has quite some time to go yet.

Can you take a picture standing directly behind her. looking at her butt say 5-10m back. ? It will give us an indication on how the foal is currently positioned.

I'm another that has dealt with Laminitis and until you see it first hand, its hard to imagine how debilitating it can be. For what its worth ill give you my two cents worth........ Start be removing your mini off grass all together. This will give you an idea if its laminitis related or not...
