A few more thoughts: everything in your cart/carriage should be tied down or enclosed. Flying objects just add to the confusion. Carry halter and lead rope, or have them on either over or under the bridle. Carry a knife on your person, if you have to go looking for it in an overturned vehicle...

Yes, there is a large market for a carriage such as Jules' husband made. However, they are located in Australia, so shipping would be quite prohibitive. Jules had to wait quite a long time for her wheels and springs. And once again, lovely job Jules! Can't wait to see photos from your show!

I am in Frankfort, IL ( horses are boarded in Peotone, IL ). Most times i drive in northwest IN, as I belong to the carriage club there and there are several cart friendly trails available. I go to the National Drive every fall, and look forward to meeting several forum members there every year!

Thanks for the comment on the pinto, that's my boy! We had such a blast in the hyperbike. And my husband agrees with you about the bay (Sally's horse). Just remember that it is not considered safe to tie a horse with the carriage still attached.
