SUPER fat stallion (pics added pg. 3)

Sounds like you are going about finding the problem in all the right ways. My 34" gelding had a similar belly and I found it was from him scarfing up ANYTHING he could nibble on in the paddock and pasture area. He was eating coltsfoot weeds, and other weeds that not even the goats were eating...

    Help for EXTREMELY dry skin

Agreed. BOSS and oil and a supplement like Omega HorseShine or DAC oil would be duplicating treatment. It will take upwards of a month to start to see results with a food supplement. Some horsepeople find that buying some rosewater and glycerine (at the drug store) and applying it to the itchy...

Update on my girl with the bad trim job

Those are great! I also really like the hovering ones and the one that looks like she's getting ready to dive!

    Help for EXTREMELY dry skin

I had a wee mare come in with very dry, flaky skin. No lice, but itchy and uncomfortable. I put her on SmartShine Ultra by Smart Pak Equine. www.smartpak.com. It has worked wonders.

Here is my yearling mini, Nigel, ready to go for our daily walk. It's hunting season here in New York State so he is dressed appropriately in his blaze hat. ">[/img]

Luxating Patellas (aka Locking Stifles) in Minis

I have a yearling mini gelding that has locked stifle problems... the upward fixation of the patella - not the more severe kind. He's somewhat straight behind so that and the fact that he is a mini, and young, could be a factor. I immediately started my fellow on trail walks, which he enjoys...

New to Forum...Introducing Nigel and Sarah

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I'm very lucky that Nigel's and Sarah's former owner approved my home and allowed them to come to me! The vet came yesterday for routine shots and Nigel made sure that while Sarah was being examined that he 1) tried to undo the doctor's shoelaces and 2)...

New to Forum...Introducing Nigel and Sarah

I've enjoyed looking at all the photos of the lovely minis on this forum and I'd like to introduce my two wee ones. Here is my 11 month old boy Nigel. He was a "surprise" to his chestnut mother and came from a good, caring man in New York who had bought his mother not knowing she was pregnant...
