What grain/feed do you feed you minis?

Sally gets Bermuda, alfalfa, and Safe Choice performance. I don't give anybody grain or sweet feed.

    Preggers or Fat????

THere isn't enough udder to get any milk. The rescue said she's eighteen; the vet said ten which makes me suspicious that the rescue got mixed up on which donkey she was. There are A LOT of donkeys at this rescue, most of whom were bound for slaughter. We haven't seen her go into heat since...

    Preggers or Fat????

Here's a recent picture of Petunia. All she eats is Bermuda grass and a little bit of Timothy cubes. The vet said she should lose weight on that diet. NOT!!! She still has a little bit of an udder.

    My Mare is Possibly Pregnant.

Sterling was born 5/9, so he's about 2 1/2 months old. I'm having the vet come out next week. Both Sally and Sterling are itching like crazy. I can't see a thing. I'm going to bathe Sally today with a medicated shampoo and see if that helps.

    My Mare is Possibly Pregnant.

Sterling is such a fun little thing. He was naughty this morning. He bit me on the butt. I did quickly turn around and pop him. Biting humans is not allowed. Besides that, he's practically perfect. He is very tame and gentle. He's shedding his baby fur and looking a bit rough. Sorry, this is not...

Rob would hold the test strip right up there under the nipple and would wipe the milk directly from the teat to the paper.

I never was able to get milk out of Sally, but Rob did. He said to squeeze the milk from the top of the udder. Squeeze it downward like the bottom of a funnel. As you're squeezing and messaging it down, work the nipple. He said like you're squeezing a lemon to get juice.
