    Does this look appy?????

Woodstock North Who's Appy Now was born from two "solid" parents.... he was a surprise! Mama goes to Starlite's Chief and other apps, so she must have been carrying the gene, but I never saw her in person to see how much it showed!

Alice & Ginny & Nikkie waiting more photos pg 3

Alice is pacey and rubby and dropped a bunch!

Alice & Ginny & Nikkie waiting more photos pg 3

I bred Alice to a chestnut stallion (non-appaloosa) with a big blaze and 2 blue eyes - Alice is homozygous varnish roan and has a partial blue eye, and according to photos I was sent before I bought her, she'd had a very clearly splash overo filly. So I'm hoping for something like that - if it...

Daphne foaled - hiplock & more, all is well now!

SUCH a cute filly! Glad she's pinto and not appy (dad's a pintoloosa) or I'd be arguing with her owner about her! 6 more of my own still due, though...

Daphne foaled - hiplock & more, all is well now!

WOW, this one was tough! Daphne went into labor about 10:30 this morning, I was out there before the bubble - a boarder was here too - and good thing! We thought all was fine - 2 feet and a nose... then after her shoulders it all stopped. Hip lock? I tried twisting the baby, no dice, went in...

Prissy is on cam and wearing a pager

We turned the lights off. Last night Prissy foaled a stillborn few-spot leopard silver black filly. Just what I've been hoping for since I started breeding minis. Uneventful as still births go, she didn't even lay down to deliver her, and cleaned out within a few minutes. We left the foal...

Daphne foaled - hiplock & more, all is well now!

    she is (I think) 330 ish days - last foal was born at 311. She's a client's horse... bred to a black pintoloosa. (she's a roan) http://webcam.kpmcor...8080/multi.html

    We were on TV!

It was supposed to be a 10 minute spot, but got shrunk to 2 minutes because of breaking news, but I still think it came out OK! I'm sore from carrying Max into the studio and back several times... I think he drank 10 pounds of milk every time I set him down with his mama!

Prissy is on cam and wearing a pager

So far, so good - Prissy is slowly bagging up - so is Ginny (who was pasture bred so ?? breeding dates), and there's a client's mare Daphne on cam too, she's 324 days, delivered her last foal at 311.

Why is it so hard to find an experienced driving mini or pony?

Hey, you know where I live - I'd find stalls for Kody & Turbo!
  13. Dontworrybeappy

    One more reason!

I'm pretty sure that the "majority" of people aren't here on the forum... no matter how popular it is! Facts are, the majority of people don't show, don't breed and don't educate themselves beyond what they have to. Obviously, the people here who show, breed and try to choose the best horses...

Prissy is on cam and wearing a pager

Yes - hubby forgot to close her in the stall (he does the "last round" check on things at night) - but she was still wearing a monitor/pager. I do threaten him that if the pager goes off in the middle of the night and the mare isn't on cam, that I'll make him wake up, get up and go see what's...

    One more reason!

Yep - I would definately say that "minis are not known for good conformation" is a true statement. There are several large horse breeds that I would say the same thing about. It takes many many decades to fix type and quality when breeding for specific types of animals - size, color, hair...

Prissy is on cam and wearing a pager

Well, nothing major new with Prissy - but once I put the pager on them I'm always afraid to take them off! Client's mare coming in on Friday... gotta figure out where I'm moving Nightie and lil' no-name to!

    Good boy! He's working!

Prissy is on cam and wearing a pager

Well, that's why she's wearing a pager... if I see changes after 300 days, I start watching, even if it means 42 days of paying attention. 4 or 5 years back we had a 292-day "surprise" in the pasture! (That filly is in foal with her first this year!) So far our first two mares to foal this...

Prissy is on cam and wearing a pager

I don't think she's as close as I first thought... her bag went from little to big over a day or two, but now that she's wearing a halter and I could "cop a feel" - it isn't tight or "full" yet - looks fuller than it feels!
