Spinoff: what gender combos, if you have multiple horses?

I agree! I have two gelding 1/2 brothers just a few weeks apart in age. They are best friends and act like little stallions the way they play. 4 year olds now. Been together since birth

    CHOKE!!

I’m so glad you saw the carrot issue before Dapper Dan had a bad choke. I seriously am going to be grating Phantom’s carrots, as silly as it seems.

    CHOKE!!

I found when he was losing his front caps he couldn’t bite into the whole carrot so I started slicing them🤷🏼‍♀️ Live and learn. I’m a fantastic chef. I love the idea of the grated carrots! I can do that easily with my Kitchen Aid.

    CHOKE!!

Hi y’all. Just a heads up on an experience I had last night. Our 3 1/2 yr old miniature horse was pleasantly eating his normal dinner of Purina Miniature Horse pellets , one sliced up carrot and 1/2 flake of grass hay. He started choking! Gagging, stopped eating, head down, squealing, then...

    Hiking with Minis and Ponies

How cute is that video! My Appaloosa, Phantom, will lead from both sides so it’s easy to walk two at once. Some times I’ll put on their surcingles with long lines and ground drive them. They love it. Looks like have a beautiful area with no traffic.

How much should I feed my mini?

I have the best luck measuring the height of my miniature horses with a yard stick. 💕

    Poisonous Plant

    No. It hadn’t flowered yet.

    Poisonous Plant

To discover the cause of the poisoning, at first we eliminated all three sources of feed Purina Miniature Horse Grain, grass hay and pasture. We only fed them grass hay from a different source during the investigation. We learned that our grass hay suppy is inspected regularly by the feed store...

    Poisonous Plant

What I find so interesting is that the poisonous fiddleneck is prevalent in the neighboring ranches. The full sized horses do not eat it! But my miniature horses sure did.
