    Aggie

She is so beautiful. Thank you for the update. I may go back and read about her journey again.

    Billy

I think being an "only" has helped a little. No buddy sour to deal with. Dapper Dan was rather bossy, and now Billy is finally relaxing. I still don't like his name, but he comes running when I call him, so Billy he stays. He's been with me two years next month.

    2024 Hours Driven

You all got me motivated to drive Billy today. Not so hot and humidity dropped a little. We went 2.42 miles and 60 minutes, counting hitch time. He hitched pretty quickly today, though I still did ground driving for a few minutes. Then we were off. There was one scary ??? along the way where...

    2024 Hours Driven

Oh, dear. Maybe if he gets used to it he will pony better. I participated in a parade a few years ago and after loading up to go home, I left my expensive whip on the trailer fender. Went back to look for it, and of course I couldn't find it.

    Billy

I hosted garden club today. I left Billy out to see if he would socialize or stand aloof. As soon as he saw all those potential horse-petters arrive he was on the spot. He came up on the porch and was just the coolest host. No pushing, just waiting politely for strokes. He got his picture...

    farrier question

My farrier used the hoof stand and plans to order one. He had been considering one but wasn't sure about the size. He thinks this stand will work better for his geriatric horses than the one he has been using.

    Elderly mini and difficult decisions

I lost mine at 27. I was hoping he would make it to 32. No help here. I'd just try to enjoy him a little longer. Someday he won't get up, and then you'll know.

    2024 crafter's delight - whatcha working on?

My sister has a shiba. I want it for her. If it is quilted already that is fine.

    Billy

Cannot eat the eggs while she's is on the medicene or for 10 days after!

    2024 crafter's delight - whatcha working on?

If it is a shiba, may I buy the quilt? Is it just the pieced top? I can quilt it myself--love lap projects!

You find the cutest fabrics! The baby girl quilt is so sweet.

    Billy

Interesting that your guys' bloodwork also shows low in red and white. I looked on the supplement that I give Billy and it does contain potassium. Silly me, of course it does not come from salt! Chicken no better this morning yet; wish me luck giving the medicene to her orally this evening!

    Billy

Got his bloodwork back today and everything looks good. Red and white count a hair below the normal range, but insulin, liver and kidneys all look great. Also a little low on potassium--not sure where he could get a little extra of that. Maybe he is not getting enough salt? The blood count...

    Gardening

My Oklahoma rose's second blooming. Blooms are not as large as first bloom, but still showy.
