Foaling Kits, what will be in your foaling kits come foaling season?

60cc I've had to use it twice now and it works great.

    HELP IS THIS NORMAL!!!

Have you asked your vet if you can treat her safely for placentitis if she doesn't have it? That might make you feel better and cover the bases in case. As long as it's safe for both mare and foal it could be worth it?

    HELP IS THIS NORMAL!!!

It does sound like the last breeding is the one that took, very frustrating timing though.

    HELP IS THIS NORMAL!!!

Some mares will do that the whole pregnancy but it's not normal. I think the biggest problem with maidens is you don't know what their normal is. She could go on like this for a while, there's just no knowing. I have one(experienced brood mare but a rescue without any background on her normal)...

Minis reluctant to play in turnout

It sounds like their having fun wandering around and investigating. Can you jog with them when you go for walks if they have more energy then?

    HELP IS THIS NORMAL!!!

Yes, I've know successful breedings at the height difference, sorry. Don't panic yet. That doesn't look like a foaling udder yet. Her nipples aren't filled and you are waiting for them to point down not in. She looks like she's elongating but she can do more. Wax is a yellow colour and will...

    Thoughts please

On a guess(don't hold me to it) I'd say watch her udder for when she's going to be close. Some don't get any or very much but most do. I think she's just starting to get ready, a couple more weeks at least. The babies are wonderful but I really hate foal watch, hang in there.

    HELP IS THIS NORMAL!!!

She's not sure on the breed date but I think it was early April, at least she said she was standing for him in early April, they live together. She hasn't foaled yet. Yes, she's a broodmare but was HUGE and has just gotten bigger through the winter. I have an experienced broodmare who doesn't...

    HELP IS THIS NORMAL!!!

PittePatter has one that's looked bigger than that since Aug. Any chance she had an earlier date with the boy than you thought?
  18. T

    Thoughts please

If that is what you saw then it's time to be on high alert. Could be a day or two up to a couple weeks.
  19. T

    Thoughts please

From what you've posted here I don't think she's ready yet, but don't take my word for it, I'm not there and am guessing. She can elongate more, is she loose in her back end at all? Tail resistance, soft around her tail head? Lying down and rolling is normal especially closer to the end. Keep a...

    HELP IS THIS NORMAL!!!

She could be elongating but doesn't look there yet, do you have an earlier pic for comparison? It's easier to tell if you move her tail sideways instead of up, up they will tense up and you won't see what's really going on as well. Are you 100% on her breed date? Has she normally had more belly...
