    BOO Senior Feed

Everything said is good advice. Just adding that if he's having problems with ulcers/stops eating after a few weeks on grain don't keep trying him on grain. Grain is bad for ulcers especially hind gut. Better quality hay, beet pulp and fat is what I'd be trying one at at time for at least 3-4...

    Advice on pregnant mare care?

If you can run power and internet out to your shed then a wifi camera is cheap. I've found the cables are the most expensive part. Look around on line to see where you can get the best price. That's the best, you can watch it anywhere and have help watching too.

I hate being that person... But.... What do you think

Welcome back! I was wondering how they were doing. It looks like she's getting there. Her udder can still fill more, you're looking for her nipples to point down instead of in, of course that's if she's going to go by the book. Do you have a camera on them at night?

    My Mare is Possibly Pregnant.

I'm so sorry, Jasper will adjust but it's hard watching them, not to mention going through it yourself. I wouldn't worry at all about putting a foal out in your group with Pepper as mom. She is the hands down boss and won't put up with anything around her baby going by how she was when she was...

How Much Longer? (Hide n Seek Foal Watch Thread)

Haha. I had a foaling alarm on for my first foal 4 years ago, it was great! I went to sleep and trusted it to wake me up when she was down on her side so I could check the camera. I didn't do any of this setting an alarm to wake me up every hour or two to squint at the camera and see if maybe...

How Much Longer? (Hide n Seek Foal Watch Thread)

She's adorable and very close 😊. Do you have a camera on her as well as an alarm? This last little bit of waiting is going to feel like forever, I'm not even going to try to guess how long you have to go but if she's been plateaued you should see a change in her udder and/or her elongation just...

    Our donkey, Madelaine

She's adorable! I find patience and positive reinforcement works best with my donkeys. They like to have time to figure things out and make sure they want to do it. Reward even the smallest try and she'll be willing to do more. Her not eating treats will make your life a bit harder, you have to...

help please with pregnant mare :)

I'm going to add to that my experienced mare is at the anytime now stage(I think) and you wouldn't think she was in foal unless you knew her well. Some foals are very active and some are very quiet. Have you tried hugging her belly near her flanks while she's eating grain? That normally gets the...

    9.3 pony questions!

No, you should not sit on a mini or small pony, it would hurt them. There are tons of things to do with them that are just as much fun as riding.

    How do you slim down?

I knew a large pony who couldn't be on restricted hay due to the boarding situation who had become obese. She didn't get ridden much either. The owner started making her run(loose) for about 20min a day and she slimmed right down. I find as long as mine do enough exercise their weight stays...
