    Foal blanket, any quick ideas?

Sorry to pull up a zombie post, may I ask how big the sire and dam are? I just ordered a mini foal saver and I'm hoping it will work for mine due soon!

    Foal blanket, any quick ideas?

Are you still in the Kingsley area? Id love to have someone local who has mini experience to call on if needed, if you'd be willing! I'm reading all of these old forums trying to learn as much as possible!

Anyone expecting a foal for 2024?

Late to the party, we are having a surprise baby this year. She was exposed for a 6 week window (4/21-6/2), but vet believes via confirmation ultrasound she took earlier in the window. Just not sure when. She was in heat when she went in, according to former owner so I'm guessing end of April...

    BOGO foal help!

Thank you. She's currently in with just one ram, who is up for sale. Hopefully he will be moving this weekend. I don't know if it makes a difference but we raise Katahdin and Dorper so they're hair sheep, which probably makes it easier on mites

    BOGO foal help!

Also, I'm giving her 1.5 flakes of grassy hay AM/PM and 3/4c of Essential K once a day, is that enough? I don't want her to get overweight and have an issue foaling.

We had to start buying from a different farm and that's what we and our vet are thinking. I found another itch spot under her jaw...

    BOGO foal help!

Thank you! We have been waiting all month on a pasture bred heifer as well. The 2 cows she came in with at my FILs farm, one has calved and one has all signs under the book except a winter storm 🤣 this one looks ready to explode but no milk and she's carrying high yet lol! Must be my luck.

    BOGO foal help!

We purchased an 8yo mini mare, and after purchase we learned she was pregnant. Pastured with a stud from 4/21/23 to 6/2/23, vet said based on ultrasound it was likely towards the beginning of that. I've been watching her for the generic signs of udders filling, tail head loosening, however...

    New member and mini owner

Hello, I am not new to horses but I am new to minis! We purchased a mare we later found out is a BOGO. She was pasture bred so there's a window of 4/16/23-6/2/23(they didn't think she took), however based on the confirmation ultrasound vet believes she took earlier in that window. Hoping to...
