Two miniature horses in one stall?

Unfortunately, for every pair you see in stalls at shows that are getting along, there is another pair that is violently not getting along. Even at shows, if we need to put two minis in a stall, we will find a way to divide them, If they get along, then they are stalled next to their buddy...

    Do you know these people?

If you try facebook, try looking at friends of friends. They may have some of the same horse friends that you do. I am sorry, but I don't know any of them.

    Hunter or jumper?

I have watched many hunters and jumpers go thru their courses when I announce shows. I realize this may not hold up for AMHA classes because I announce mainly AMHR shows so this is what I see in AMHR competitions. I know that one horse can do both, but if you watch, you will see that each...

Cattle panel and post fence questions

We use cattle panels and t posts a lot. We make sure to put the fence on the inside of the posts and that the posts are down to at least the level of the fence or lower so the horses don't jump up and get caught. We over lap about 1 square and use a post at the 8ft point on the panel. They...

$3 Mission of Thanks; Thank you all SO much!!

As the Blessed Christmas Season approaches, I am truly thankful that most of my extended family will be able to gather around my parents again this year. They are getting up there in age (86 and nearly 86) so every year is another year of Blessings. Also, all of those family members are...

$3 Mission of Thanks; Thank you all SO much!!

I you are the high bidder, then I see no problem running it as long as you wish. Just set it and I will make the bag when it ends and I have the ribbons

    GELD HIM OR NOT?

I don't know what is 'very expensive' and I am not sure where you live. I did map from Paducah, ky to my vet in Nashville, IL and it is about 130 miles--almost all interstate. He charges about $125 for gelding and shots ect. At least that is what it cost about 2 yrs ago. I can call and ask...

$3 Mission of Thanks; Thank you all SO much!!

Not that I don't think Frankie is one of the best people in the world, but letting her have this $35 bag for $10?? Come on now. someone can do better This bag is approximately 15" x 15" when finished. It may be larger depending on the ribbons that are sent. This is with the usual 1 1/2"...

$3 Mission of Thanks; Thank you all SO much!!

ok--I like to help in bigger ways than I have money for. Now I am adding another auction--if that is ok. The booties in the photo are up for bid individually. You get to choose the color you want if you are the high bidder. I will ship these first class to the winner. They will fit women...

$3 Mission of Thanks; Thank you all SO much!!

Not sure how I would put a name on it except to buy some fabric paint and paint a name on the bag. If the winner wants me to do something like that, it would be a slightly extra cost to buy the fabric paint as I don't have any, but we can talk. :-)

$3 Mission of Thanks; Thank you all SO much!!

There is a $10 bid on this by Frankie and while I would love to make a bag for Frankie, this has a value of over $40 ($35 plus priority mail shipping of finished bag) so jump in here and bid. Only a couple of days left..

    Secret SANTA HINT THREAD!!!

Can't really remember what I put in my email. I use a lot of throw blankets. Our house is always cold so I wrap one around me and one around my dog a lot of the time. I can always use a new tshirt in size 2x. I would like a new pair of socks. I wear socks 24/7 all winter long--sometimes two...

    Neighbor Rant

I am curious about his threat to report your barking dogs. Dogs bark at cats. That is a fact of life. Are they doing it all night long or mostly just during the day? I mostly just during the day, I don't think there is much he can do about it unless he works nights and sleeps days and even...

What's an acceptable age to start building up a herd?

I agree with just about everything that has been said so far, here. Here is how I see it. If--and only "if"--you have a place to keep your minis and their offspring for a minimum of 5 years and you have a job to support them and yourself--including all vet bills to include worming, farrier...

    HAPPY MONDAY!!!!!

Happy Monday. The start of a new day, new week, new way of life. Got a late start today thanks to having horses out at 2:30 this morning. They went back in so easily that Dave and I were amazed. It seems to take forever to get back to sleep after an event like that so I sorta overslept...

    It's Friday, and I'm here!

Since the last week has been bad for you, then the next week will be good. Take care of your health first and then take care of the portion control. Angie

    It's Friday, and I'm here!

I can't believe another whole week has gone by. I think we had about 5" of rain yesterday and I wanted to eat junk all day. I didn't though. I didn't stay perfect, but I didn't go crazy so I am ok with that. I did lose 4 lbs last week. I just decided to get serious and gave myself no...
