We have a 15-year old who's had a foal every year for the past six years and is now pregnant, and a 28-year old retired mare who had her last foal at 23.   All in great health. Love the older mares!

We feed a mixture of brome grass/alfalfa and it's a high quality hay we buy locally, although we have gotten some from Nebraska, and it's great.   We had a wet spring, and a good growing season "up north" so the hay is really good, although prices are going up! $3.00 for a small square bale...

The horse market overall is in a deep, deep depression. Reality Check.........horses are a Luxury and in this economy many people are struggling to just keep their heads above water. Buyers are not lining up to buy even the finest horses.....miniatures included. Why are there so many...

I would call both registries........they're all very helpful. Some of the problems you may face is that the dam and sire are both AMHA/AMHR - that the previous owner filed a stallion report or you have a breeder's certificate. Be patient. It can be complicated.......but not impossible to...

I so agree. People go to the trouble of having a website done, and then just leave it for years without updating. Do they get so busy that they never think about it? Or do they not care? Definitely one of my pet peeves.   Debbie Bowen helped us with our website, but I can go in anytime...
