    2012 Kentucky Derby Pegasus Parade

We are sorry but you have us confused with someone else. We were NOT in the Pegasus Parade last year. Our horses are shod with boron on their shoes to prevent them from slipping. Thanks for your concern. Hal & Deb

    Old Photos

We were going thru old photos and found this one. Hal broke "Patch" to drive on a dare from a friend. They were a big hit at all the parades. Patch had several costumes - this was his Sheriff's outfit complete with a badge and pearl handle six-shooters (cap guns - that worked!) They sure...

    Beyond the Show Ring

We like to find lots of ways to enjoy our minis and ponys outside of the Show Ring. Do any of you recognize these two? This is the same team shown on page 23 of the Oct/Nov issue of the Journal - Congress Campions 2-pony Draft Hitch! This was taken just last Thursday. The nurses at a local...

    NATIONAL QUESTION

Karen - I'm sorry - I mis-spoke earlier. The new rules were not approved at the Convention but rather at the Spring Board of Directors Meeting and posted on the Registry web-site stating - "Delete from 2008 Rulebook and 2010 Supplement" - the old rules and add the new rules. We have said for...

    Congress Photo

A few weeks ago a friend sent us this picture of our hitch from the 2011 Pony Congress in Des Moines, Iowa. We asked people for the "perfect caption" for it on the Shetland Forum and on Facebook. We are still laughing at all of them.   But the one we chose as the winner is: "Hal, I told...

    NATIONAL QUESTION

We usually attend Nationals at Tulsa but did not this year. Instead we exhibited at the pony Congress in Des Moines. Since we could not be there in person - we watched all three draft classes to see how the new rules worked out. And yes, we will follow up with other rules committee members...

    NATIONAL QUESTION

New and changed Draft Rules regarding ring procedures were approved at last years convention and have been followed by all the shows this summer. Why have they reverted to the "old" rules at this years National Show? I was one of several on the commmittee that reviewed and re-worked these...

I "played" with this photo for over one hour and could not enlarge it for the forum. Your right - the turnout is pretty - but little Morgan is definitely a "CUTIE"! Thanks - Hal & Deb

Introducing - - - Little Miss White County

My great niece was recently crowned Little Miss White County. It is my honor to be her escort at a recent parade. No doubt - she was the prettiest young lady there!

How many driving horses do we have here now?

Of our 27 head of horses - 21 are broke to drive. Most of then as teams and all drive single. The remaining 6 are brood mares or are too young to start.
