Even tho it took me a long time to decide to geld Khan and even as it was happening I was like "what the heck am I DOING?"...3 weeks post surgery and I am SOOOO happy I had him gelded!!! He is so much happier being able to interact with 2 other geldings in a pasture instead of being cooped up...

LVL Gold's Moonlight Seduction (Sadie) went to her 1st show last weekend...at just under 4 months old and she did great! Soooo pleased with her....considering she got an ouchie on her nose where the halter sets and was mad about that and did not want to stand up and show! She placed 1sts in...

Deb and I had not shown since February (been too broke and wanted to volunteer at the shows), so this past weekend we really were looking forward to finally getting to show some horses! It was HOT, sticky and we sweated like a pig on a BBQ...lol...but we had a GREAT show!! This was (of course)...

Congrats! Will you be gelding the colt? if not, be careful putting them together in the same pasture. Even young colts can breed.... As Marty said, if you use regular horse buckets for feed or water, please wrap the handles were it attaches to the bucket...I had a mare catch her nostril on...

Today Wild was MUCH improved...she just looked like she felt better, eating better and her udders looked like they did when Sadie was nursing (not engorged) so I feel a lot better about the process/progress....

Before and after pics of our 2012 ASPC filly Sadie...I really love her! She was 2 mo old in the before pic and 3.5 mo old in the after pic....

Yes, her udders looked MUCH less engorged this evening when we went out to feed...and she is eatting, pooping, not laying down and seems to feel better...I think she just had some pain from her udders being so full yesterday...poor thing!! (I understand...lol)
