I haven't been on here for quite awhile, so don't know if this has been brought up. I read this ad on Petfinder today, about some minis in Oregon who appear to be neglected.

I don't have donkeys, but usually when I clip a mini and put it back with the group, they all think it's a new horse, and harass it. Once they get a good smell, though, they figure out it's their buddy.
Thanks! The woman who owns the jack handbreeds, and I will talk to her to see what her plans are if a mare refuses the jack. I doubt she has any stallions there.
My friend is trying to talk me into breeding one of my mares to the same jack she found for her mare. I was wondering--does a mare bred to a donkey have the same gestation period she would have if bred to a stallion? Is the labor just the same? I think it probably is, but I want to have all...
Thanks so much for your response! My friend emailed me last night, and she found a farm that has two mini jacks--one is spotted, and other is grey. Is there some site we can go to to learn about donkey conformation?
I have a friend looking for a mini jack to breed her mini mare to. How does she go about finding one in her area? She lives in Maple Valley, WA. Which donkey colors are dominant? Her mare is a true grey. Can mini mules be grey? Do the same color genetics apply?
