Need help with rescue Boxer stomach issues

Hi Lucy! I think I'll keep him on the Diamond and pumpkin for now, and maybe try to wean him off in a couple more weeks. His poop is completely normal while in this current regimen. In about a week he is going to live with my daughter (the original plan) . After he settles in there, she can...

Need help with rescue Boxer stomach issues

Thanks for all your suggestions. Nature's Recipe is not carried locally. I'm going to look into the grain free foods that are in my area. Keep the suggestions coming

Need help with rescue Boxer stomach issues

We adopted a rescue Boxer about a month ago. When we got him he was on Nature's Recipe dog food. Everything about him was fine. My daughter wanted to change his diet to something less expensive (he will be living with her) . She chose Beneful. Within 3 days he developed severe diarrhea and then...

    Absolutely No Way!!!!

I agree it would be great if AMHA and AMHR recognized every possible color combination. However, in this economy I don't think it's fair to criticize them for not spending the money to upgrade the computer program to include every color. I've been in the AMHA office and seen the reduced staff...

Before I go into story a simple yes or no will help.

No, I would never show a pregnant mare.

    AMHA Lookup Please

Looks like both the mare and her sire's papers have been revoked. Most likely because they weren't brought permanent. If the sire is deceased, there could be a problem bringing the mare permanent.

Jazzy's Training and Some TINY Questions...

You can show him starting the 1st of January in both AMHA and AMHR. Some horses foam quite a bit. In dressage, it is considered desirable. I think you are OK on your stage of training right now. Just keep things easy and not strenuous. Coughing is NOT normal. I would consult your vet. Maybe...

I agree, I doubt it's stringhalt. For stifles, you should give them as much room to move around as possible. In my experience, minis don't grow out of stifle problems. They either stay the same or get worse. It does seem to be more common in miniatures than in big horses. Let us know what your...

    Jerald Show Carts, WHICH ONE!

Check with Angela Hungate. She almost always has used carts for sale. Also, Mike Herron of Herron Tack knows of used carts. Be patient - carts come up for sale periodically. There's also a FB group that has Miniature Carts for sale. Can't remember the exact name right now. I'll try to post it...

I would have Reno checked by a vet. Stringhalt can have different causes (plant toxicity, EPM, etc) . I am wondering if what you are seeing is a stifle issue instead. Some horses with beginning stifle issues learn to jerk the leg up to prevent it catching. With all the angle changes he's been...

    Bitten Off Mane...

Mane extensions are not allowed, nor are tails except in AMHR park.

What to do about kids messing with the horses?

Can you hotwire (electrify) your fence? That should put a stop to trespassers.

    Quarantine facilities in the U.S.

Share your few spotted appy.I would love to see them

Don't forget that silver added to grey will cause the horse to lighten very quickly. I have an ee TT Gg nS (chestnut homozygous pinto with grey and silver modifiers) . She is very white. Doesn't look grey at all. She has looked 'white ' since she was three.
