both the paso breeds are lovely. You can see so much of the Andalusian in them , and I love the roundedness they have... very much pony character in many of them! I also love the fact that they are not so tall... I don't understand the trend in so many breeds to make taller and taller animals...

I have classics.... they are closest to the ponies I grew up with as a kid (looong time ago!) They are more rounded and retain more of the original breed character of the old time ponies. Shorter heads, bigger jowls and stronger jawlines, necks set on upright... lovely croups with high set...

In equine reproduction class taken years ago at a Jr college, the instructor told us that almost always the size of the mare dictates the size of the foal. A mare's body somehow regulates the growth of the foal inside her so that the baby (usually!) doesnt outgrow her capacity to carry it...

usually either tamed iodine (4%) or clorox full strength once a day and keeping the feet dry and clean for a month or so will do the trick just fine. If you don't see improvement after the first couple of days, check with your vet, maybe it is a hard to kill variety needing special treatment. I...

everyone needs lots of ponies! You could also check out ASPC website and look at breeders listed there. Get an idea of the different types and what the standards are. I love shetlands more than any other equine. always have, always will.

I have what appears to be an overo stallion. I have seen photos of many others which would be classified as overos, tho I don't know of any offhand which were dna tested. I may get mine tested soon. If he is not overo, he is surely splash!
