Kahn and I went camping at the Grand Canyon! The weather was very nice, Upper 70's to low 80's both days. The lows were in the lower 40's. They have a really nice horse camp, with nice corrals for the horses. Kahn went out during the day, when we weren't boardjoring, and then came into the tent...

I would hook the square part to the belt and use the hook part on rings so that it releases away from you.

I really don't care for the design of the skijoring harness, but the shaft system would be good . I think I would add shaft carriers at the thighs in case you need to release from the horse so that the shafts didn't drop and create a potential problem.

I will take a photo of the ones on my buggy.

Check out Patty's Pony Place. They do some skijoring stuff. A good quick release shackle would be a good way to disengage should there be an issue. I boardjore. I use 2 separate setups, depending on the surface I will be boarding on. The mountain board I use a belt around my waist which is...

    Scaly hooves

Weather, feed, work, ground conditions can all play a role in hoof texture. I have one this year with rough hoof walls. I'm going to oil them, once I buy some oil for them. I wouldn't worry about it too much as long as the coronet band looks healthy, the hooves aren't splitting and the horse...

Kahn and I went out a few days ago, to a trail that we have done often. Heading out, life was normal and relaxed. We seen a deer towards the end of the trail, which was pretty awesome. On our way back to the trailhead, Kahn become very alert. His normal alert is ears forward, but this was...

It is a beautiful trail! It was our first trip on that trail. I'm looking forward to going further next trip! This trail is about 140 miles north of us, so I throw my guy into the van and we go up for the day. Thank you! Kahn is the best, he's so steady and non reactive to surprises on the trail.

If I were 30 years younger I'd be dangerous😆😅😂🤣 As it is, Hubby just says "be careful, call me when you get there and when your headed home" 😅. He knows I won't stop, so he just enables😂😅🤣🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Thank you! It's the main reason I do it...to build my core strength and my balance. Yes, I go out by myself. I do have the GPS tracker on my phone so that two people know where I'm at for the trip. I text them as I'm ready to head out, then text again when I get back to my van. I do carry...

Another fun outing on the longboard! We had a fabulous driving through the forest, seen the lake (didn't go down to the lake as the trail was a bit beyond what I was comfortable doing), met some very respectful bicyclists and a courteous dog owner! Did a video...my longest one yet. I just...

    farrier question

I never use a hoof stand. I tried, but it was a huge hassle/safety issue for me. I use my thigh/knee/hand to support the hoof for finish work. It much safer, to me.

    Cart mounted shooting?

I believe the group was Single Action Shooters society. Not 100% certain. At one time they had rules for the driving shooting, I don't know about now, but maybe a place to start. I always thought it would be fun.

    Cart mounted shooting?

There was someone a few years ago that did cart shooting with their mule. I will see if I can find it.

    Fun with the boys!

Took my granddaughter to a competition driving clinic yesterday. Her first time driving away from home. My red hot speed demon, Walter, was super awesome with her, staying 100% controlled through the entire day. I didn't know that he was such a good babysitter. I love this photo. Not very good...
