After being my Wee Heart Horse for 21 years, I had to let Maggie go Feb 5th. Pretty much gutted me. We have been together a long time, she helped me walk again after I broke my back Dec 2006... Knew each other so well that we could finish each others sentences... There will never be another...

Love Peonies. My health hasn't been good for awhile so last spring DH and DS moved them into pots near the house. Keeping my fingers crossed they will winter over well, with the extra protection DH gave them.

Hi Marsha, She was doing a lot better, pretty much back to normal. I had surgery a couple of weeks ago, so my Son came to help and not sure wither she got or ate her meds but has back slid a bit. Now I am able to do the farm chores again, will see if she improves. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Because Maggie ended up with Cushings, IR and foundered on me a few years ago, she now has to stay in a dry lot. Bought a used Board and batten shed for her.

Is very nice to see Easy Boots now make a Mini horse sized boot. I ended up getting Maggie some Soft Ride boots because of her front hoof issues. Think the Easy Boots are cheaper?

No worries,, I talked to both companies on the phone and picked which one would work best for both Maggie and I. Farrier was here today. Said Maggie's bad foot, looks pretty much healed. He thinks it is a couple of things... she is used to hurting and expects to hurt and she needs her...

I have those Ontario Timothy cubes (easy to get here), but they are higher in sugars than the Triple crown safe starch forage. Did a couple of blood tests (also had both feeds tested)... and the Triple crown SSF, keeps her blood sugar down better. That and I have to soak the cubes, which...

She has been on meds for awhile... precsend, and diabetic med. As per the blood work, her Cushings is under control, Vet is hoping in time and with the diabetic meds, her IR will be under control. She thinks the Cushings caused much of that. Her diet is Triple Crown Safe starch forage...
