stall mat

Just wondering if any of you have ever used those kids interlocking "play mats" for a stall mat? Supposedly, they are waterproof and pretty durable. 3/4 inch thick. I hate those huge heavy mats and it may just be for temporary use. I would then use shavings on top of them like the regular...
