I just followed a video on YouTube. I don’t remember the patternDid you have a pattern for that fine looking hat. I have knitted one similar before, but I'm much better with crochet.
Are those pencils? If not, pardon my quilting ignorance! I really like that dark background.I still have to get a finished picture, but I finished this quilt yesterday. It's a gift for a friend.

I keep trying to go more primitive in my house, but cannot let go of things that are traditional. Call me eclectic...The horse is wonderful! The garland is wonderful! I love the part about paper buttons. It is a testament to how people make do in times of less and nothing.
Actually, from your photos, I think your whole house would be wonderful to see!
I have not heard of these. I love them. I think I would like to try. How do you flatten the cones out?Has anyone made pine cone flowers? These are my first. The cones really absorb the paint! I need to go over them to add more paint and brighten them up. If I make more, I think I will spray paint them first so the color coat doesn't take so much paint.
The board they are on is from the black school in our town, which closed around 1960. The school was named after the poet Paul Dunbar.
Just cut them with garden loppers. Don't flatten them.I have not heard of these. I love them. I think I would like to try. How do you flatten the cones out?
