My computer has been getting harder & harder to get online. 100 system restores (I kid you not) Each day got worse. I'd get to be on once in a while and last Tues it died. Been off all week

Finally yesterday it came on for a few hours. Today too so I thought I'd tell you why I'm not here.

Something about error 619.

I need to get it fixed to be able to be back. I miss you all!

OMG! That really sucks. no advice, just hoping you get it fixed soon.

I hope so too. Have to wait for the tax refund and take it someplace.

I've never seen that error, but the last time my computer was a huge pain in the behind about going on-line and such, I had a virus (did get rid of it).

How to easily fix (error 619)?

This is what I found for fixing when I search for error 619

the simple 1 sounds like the second one

here is the link where I copied it from if you want to read more

================

There are two (2) ways to fix 619 Error:

Advanced Computer User Solution (manual restore):

1) Start your computer and log on as an administrator.

2) Click the Start button then select All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then click System Restore.

3) In the new window, select "Restore my computer to an earlier time" option and then click Next.

4) Select the most recent system restore point from the "On this list, click a restore point" list, and then click Next.

5) Click Next on the confirmation window.

6) Restarts the computer when the restoration is finished.

Novice Computer User Solution (completely automated):

1) Removed

2) Install program and click Scan button.

3) Click the Fix Errors button when scan is completed.

4) Restart your computer.

I've already done system restore 100 times.

Disk repair has run many times. It says it can't connect to the remote computer but I don't know what that is supposed to be

I ran that thing and now it wants $30. I don't have a credit card or money to pay for it.

Now what?

Sorry Robin you are having problems. I remember how frustrating that was. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.........so glad I have a Mac! Haven't seen an error message or blue screen in 6 years.

I don't have a Mac but I haven't had trouble in forever either. I did the smart thing... I had a son and raised my own computer geek lol. Sorry, I know you don't feel like laughing, I hate when my computer gives me trouble. What has saved me getting viruses etc. seems to be the operating program my son has installed. Rather than a MS product he has selected an open source program called Ubuntu. Don't know what incarnation I'm on now but it runs great and I see very little difference between it and any other system that I have used. As far as them asking for money after you've used a program, I expect the charge would be to continue use. They would not let you access and use it then charge because so many would not pay I think. -?- not positive but it seems probable. Good luck, we miss you too.

It said it found over 2000 errors then I clicked on fix them and it said pay for it.

Looks like a nice service but I can't swing it right now.

Thank you for trying to help

I'm just SO happy when I'm able to get back on!

You were being helpful

I was thrilled to see it working but dismayed when it asked for money to get rid of it all. They should say so right up front

I jump through system restores, repairs and hoops to get on a little each day, so I'm not suffering as much as I had been.

I have tried running those things too Robin, and I think it is somewhat of a scam. Years ago, I even paid for it, and still had all the errors...many it cannot fix. I am guessing they can find that many on a virtually new computer (more than they "cover" for free).

Sorry to here computer problems bless your heart I have problems alot to as well

I hope you get it fix ;)

I did one of these years ago Mona and came to the same conclusion. I didn't think this was the same thing until the end when it asked for money. Then I thought, yeah right, who has nearly 3000 errors that are all EXTREME dangers? <rolls eyes>

I'm still having trouble being on and sometimes have to restore and then fight through hoops 3 times a day to get on.
