Woohoo! Woohoo! Today I reached one of my major horse goals for 2006, I have a driving horse! We have been preparing for this day for a couple of months now, and oh! What fun I had! :bgrin

Pics are a little dark, but I'm pretty sure you can see my big grin, and Ally's TERRIFIC attitude about her new job!!!

Once again, I am so grateful that Rob allowed me to buy this wonderful mare from him last year. (((HUGS)))

Looking forward to some terrific driven dressage lessons at our local ADS training center, and an intro to CDE clinic April 29-30. :488:

Rob, you always have the right to drive that pretty mare! You are her "daddy" after all!

Annette, I don't think I'll quit smiling for quite some time! This is my first time training a driving horse, and what a great feeling that is!

Maybe I'll see you at the Eckhart's?

: I was at Happ's today learning to hitch and drive pairs, tandems, and four-ups and though about you when I saw the flier for the Intro clinic. You'll have to take good notes because I need some reminders on marathon.

Wooho! COngratulations!! Driving is SO much fun! What a pretty little mare you have--I can't wait to see her all clipped! You look so happy there--that is awsome!

I have done quite a few ADS pleasure shows, but am just now getting ready for my first HDT in Sept. There is an ADT sometime before then, but I am not sure we will be ready since neither me nor the two driving horses have worked in about 6 months.

Oh hey--I like your cart too--mine is the same! I am getting wood wheels, meadowbrook arches and the dash in the next few months. CDEs (ADT, HDT, whatever form they may come in)--woohoo what fun!

I dunno, I can't see the mini in the photo because of your big stinkin SMILE!!! :bgrin Congrats on the terrific drive!!!

Congratulations, looks like you had a blast!! I have got to get a cart and get driving. My friends keep telling me I don't know what I am missing!

Oh my GOD you've been AFFLICTED with the dreaded "mini driver grin". I'm sorry to inform you there is NO CURE!

Leia, I was down at Happ's on Saturday, got to drive Merridy's Velvet! Also rode on the back of Dave's war wagon, and got a spin through the hazards with Ron Whiteman and Buddy! Too much fun, for sure!!!

Oh yes, and now I can't wait to do it all again tonight! LOL. Ally is going to be in some terrific shape under all that hair.

I got my beautiful cart from Pam Southworth of A Silver Penney Farm. She is great to work with, and I got my cart very quickly. Here is the link: http://www.ccfdriving.atfreeweb.com/show.htm I did have to pay with a bank check, as she doesn't do credit cards or at least she didn't. I will tell you I was very nervous about that...it was just under $1000 with shipping as I bought it with both sets of wheels. Yes, we have those beautiful wooden wheels for competition. :D But everything came through just perfectly. Pam is a super business woman. :aktion033:

Congratulations!! she looks very comfortable in all her equipment and you've got a helmet on!! good job!! Driving is so addictive!! LOL say goodbye to all your time and money!!

Outstanding!!! Looks like both of you are having fun!! :aktion033:

She really a pretty mare,,,and I love her color!

Shari, do you ever go up to Happ's in Washington? It is such a fun place to go.

Ally is definitely an interesting looking mare! She is silver + bay + roan + pinto. You never know what she is going to look like from one season to another!
