Alright, enough with this cold..

What a day :no: Sorry just need to vent with other adults....School was closed for the first time today. Got up and awoke with a wonderful mirgraine.. Hubby is working second shift today. As he was getting ready to leave we discovered that the pipes were frozen in the kitchen and the bathroom..

: SO he left, and I am trying to get the pipes unfrozen so they don't break.. I have a electric heater in our crawl space.. ANd it was my fault because I was on the sofa with a mirgaine..Don't you just love it when everyone is cranky..

: Now, what do I do??(besides :smileypuke: every 5 min from the mirgraine)..Can't cook with no water :lol:

(((hug))) I feel your pain... thankfully we only have one frozen pipe, but we have no way to thaw it. I really hope it doesn;t break, we can;t afford more repairs on this place right now!!! And the only reason it froze is because I rented the place to my brother in law and he left the crawl space open so stray cats could live under there and they shredded the insulation. He said he fixed it, and STUPID ME I took his word for it. Turns out there is a whole section that isn;t insulated and now we have frozen cold water pipes to our kitchen. :no:

At least I don;t have to deal with the migraine on top of it, you poor thing. I hope you get rid of it quick. I've had enough of them in my time to know how miserable they can be.

I can't help you with getting the pipes thawed, but once they are, keep your water dripping in each area so that it doesn't freeze again.

Actually, heat tapes on your pipes would help thaw them...

Until then, I suggest getting water from a neighbor, or making a run to the store for a few gallons of water-- you are going to need it for more than just cooking!

I keep some water stored for emergencies... (tip for the future!) good luck!

:saludando: Hello, that is why I say it is"my fault" because I did keep the water running, but hubby just sat around watching tv and didn't.. HE took my car to work, his truck won't start so I am stuck not being able to get out. My sister is going to run me up some water soon, I hope

Believe me I know how you feel ...The pipes are froze here too and i have no way to unthaw them they are the ones that go up thru the floor boards of my double wide home...And to top it all off I was doing chores last night and took a pretty hard spill on my hindend between the two barns ...My back has hurt all day to day clear up between my shoulders...not only is the temp freezing colllldddd down here now it is snowing on top of it ...the schools down here have been closed for two days now we are supposed to be on a two hour delay tommorow . I cant wait for spring...take care god bless and stay warm I'll be in touch soon...
