AM Radio

My Mother is a fanatic AM talk show listener. The majority of your am/fm desktop radios do not get reception in well for AM stations. I want to buy her a high quality AM (can of course have fm too, but not a necessity) radio she can put on her nightstand and listen to before she goes to bed. I have no clue what is a good brand or where to get it, it's not usually a popular item. Under $100, anyone know of a good one?

ahh, thankyou for the link! A tad more than what I wanted to spend, but oh well, what's another 40$...I know she'll love it, it's for Christmas. thanks again Farmhand. That pillow speaker is pretty cool too...her birthday is Jan 1st, so that could be for her B-day!

might also try Radio Shack, they have several that will take an external antena. that may do more for her reception than a new radio. untill the last few years I had always lived where reception was not an issue, but now I have to add an antena to anything I want to hear. DR.
