How do you like this season so far?

I know it's still just getting going but do you have a favorite yet?

Do you like the new judges? Jennifer Lopez, Stephen Tyler. Good? Bad?

Personally I have not watched sense Adam Lambert was on. Not sure how long ago that was! LOL! But my mom said she started watching again and said it's great. I LOVE Stephen Tyler, always have! And I'm a big fan of Jennifer Lopez! I'm not sure why I haven't watched but I just turned it on and I'll see if I can stick with it and it keeps my interest. So far so good.....

I am really loving all the talent this year! I think the the overal quality of talent in this year's singers has exceeded past years, and "we've only just begun"! LOTS of beautiful voices, and such a wide array of genres too! I am really looking forward to watching them all in the following weeks!

I REALLY LOVE the judging panel on there this year. I didn't think I'd like that Stephen Tyler, but I really do! He's a very kind, and genuine kind of person. I love a man that's not afraid to let their feelings show!! I really like both him and Jennifer Lopez on there with Randy!! Thought I'd really miss the others, but honestly, I don't at all!

When the judges were announced I really didn't think I was going to like the show anymore. Wow! Was I wrong! I love the Jennifer, Steven, Randy combo! And there are some crazy talented musicians this year! Crazy talented. Some of the final 24 I didn't agree with, but they can't make us all happy.

As we move into the fans voting I'm not sure some of the most talented will have enough mass appeal, but we'll see. I'm looking forward to it!

I agree with the other replies! I have watched Idol here and there over the years - the last couple of years have watched mostly because we got DVR and I am able to catch up because we are never home. I also thought this would be the final year after the change in judges - but I am LOVING this year so much better than any other season! I love these judges - Jennifer and Steven are so genuine and they really get involved with these contestants. I hope they don't lose that edge and become cynical over the seasons because they really bring a freshness to Idol that it was sorely lacking!

And I agree - the talent this year is amazing. I have a few favorites and can't wait for the voting to start next week!

I agree with everyone's responses so far!! LOVE the new panel! LOVE the talent this season! I've watched every season since the beginning (DVR'd the season with Adam Lambert on, but did a "AI marathon weekend" after the season was over, because I love Adam.) Last season I watched because I love Crystal, but honestly last season's talent sucked...so I wasn't sure I'd watch again with the new judges. Thought I'd miss Simon...I don't!

American Idol, I think, has redeemed itself!

I agree with pretty much everyone else. I think the panel is great and there is alot of talent this year...but I still don't have anyone that I'm rooting for yet. All you Adam Lambert fans....there is an Adam Lambert this year (he is not as good as Adam, but similiar in the way they sing)...I don't remember his name though, he is the kid with Aspergers (sp?). There are very few shows I watch on tv. I am addicted to the discover/history channels so the only shows I watch on the networks is American Idol and Two and a half men (which I hear is done). I usually DVR it and watch it a couple days later.

Sonya...yes, I like that guy...He has Tourette's, too...One of my early faves is Lauren, but she is young and may get eaten up by the older "more experienced" singers as time goes on, since she is only 16, but I will root for her anyway.

I have to X2 your whole reply! I thought the same of Stephen and wasn't sure I would like both new judges, but love them and really enjoy watching it again! Kind of slacked off the last few years, but now I really enjoy it again!

Well, I hardly ever go onto this forum, but I am an American Idol fan with Adam Lambert being my all time favorite. I really enjoyed that year!! Did not like the choice of who won though.

This year I am intrigued with the country western guy who has such an incredible deep voice. I really like him as he stands out in the crowd.

I think AI did a good thing in getting rid of Paula and SImon. The immaturity was getting stale. I love Steve Tyler. He makes me smile when he swoons while someone is singing. Jennifer Lopez also is a nice surprise with her warmth and concern for everyone. I think the talent this year is huge..so many people with a variety of talents. Just all in all a good change that I am enjoying very much.

The hubby and I are rooting for Casey Abrams, but I just read that he was rushed to the hospital and will be removed from the show if he can't perform.

I also really like the mix of judges this year!!!! Every show is just getting better and better and I also agree... omg, the talent of some of these young people!! I am sure it was REALLY HARD to cut them down to 24 and decide who stays and who goes... I have a couple of sort of favorites so far- Scotty McCreery being one of them- that's the kid with the deep voice. And what a nice person he seems to be. Want to see how they stack up when it gets rolling here now. I think it's a great show this year.

Which one is Casey? I certainly dp have my favorites picked outm, but not the names down pat just yet. Hope it's not one of the ones I am most strongly rooting for! What happened why he had to go to the hospital?

OMG NO!!! He is one on my FAVORITES list!!!! I think he is probably one of THE MOST TALENTED of any that remain!! I sure hope he'll be OK and won;t have to be eliminated!

I like Casey too, and that Lauren girl. I do like Scott's voice, but I'm afraid he can only sing certain types of songs, time will tell...he does a great Josh Turner though.

They did not get rid of Simon. He just did not renew his contract as he has a similar show in the UK - and soon starting here... the X Factor.

I'm really enjoying Idol this year. Seems like the talent is deeper than ever. I'm really liking the judging panel. When Simon left and the new judges were announced I was very skeptical. All I can say is "Good job"! The judges seem so sincere. I don't have a favorite yet as so many have so much talent. Good luck to all 24.

I LOVE American Idol! Me and my mother watch it every week! This will be our 6th year watching it. I am really liking the changes they did to it this year....I have to say I was bummin' to think that Simon was leaving and being replaced...but I am loving it and the new talent! That guy "James" who sounds like Adam Lambert is amazing!!!

His voice is awesome! I like a few others too! Going to be a great year!
