I have 3 I really like and want to hear again, Paris, the other one I don't remember her name, the 16 year old with the long curly hair, and the very last singer, the one who's mom is a voice coach. I can't wait til tomorrow night and hear the gray haired guy sing!

I don't remember their names. Not sure or specific on any yet because it's just the beginning, and as time goes on, they tend to either get better or worse. So for now I think the little 16 yr. old with the long curly hair, Mandesa and the last girl that sang tonight. The one girl from NY, who has the "tude", well I don't like her singing voice, her personality nor her looks.

Can't wait for the guys to come on...really am curious to see what Taylor Hicks does (grey haired blues-y singer).

I thought there was a lot of great talent presented tonight. Seems to get better every season! I have 7 that I really like but my favorites, I think in order, are below.

I really like Lisa and Paris. For as young as they both are, they are amazing!! I predict that they will go all the way to the end.

What time is the results show on Thursday? It's not going to conflict with Survivor is it??

Hubby and I liked (not necessarily in this order) Mandisa(1) Lisa(10) Paris and the 16 yr. old with curly hair! We are horrible with the names! I also agree, the girl who thinks she has the big tude and poses has got to go!!!!!!!LOL

This is the first year I've watched it. I can't sing and have no ear at all! LOL But the whole combination of personalities was interesting.

I thoroughly enjoyed Paris (5)!! I hope she goes on. Her choice of outfit was unfortunate, but as Paula said, she avoided a wardrobe malfunction!

I wasn't as impressed with the last one, but they said she was the best. (What do I know???)

I also liked #1 and the young girl with the long curly hair.

There was one that the judges pretty much smashed and then the MC guy said something about her height (he's short) and the girl said he "might have a chance with her." It wasn't as snotty as it sounds here in writing. It was very cute. I thought that was a great recovery from the terrible disappointment she must have been feeling.

And what is it about that guy with the gray hair? LOL He is so cute and I want him to do well! Maybe it's because he seems down to earth?

I like Lisa Tucher first then Mandisa and Paris. I don't think Paris sang a song that alot of younger people are going to like, but she's good. I like Mandisa's singing, but also like her for the fact that she stood up to Simon when he made a comment about her weight in a previous show, realized what he had said when she watched it on TV, then came back and got him for it. I also like that she didn't let it get her down. Look how heavy Rubin was and he won.

Well I can't stand the NY girl.........she needs to go........

I just love Kelly, she has to be the cutest little thing!!! Her singing voice isn't quite as good as some of the others, but I think she will improve as she goes on....she is young & nervous....and I think as she gets more comfortable she will be fine. Just loved wehat she said about her grandpa....lol all the women telling him "Clyde, I'll make you a sandwich!LOL" She is just to cute!

Mandisa, I fell in love with her for her personality, and when she performed last night........I thought she was AWESOME!!!!! I really like her....

Paris....I tlike her but I didn't care for the performance last night, JMO

I really think the 16 year old with the long curly hair, is going to go far!!! She is VERY talented.

And Katharine did very well too.

I hope little miss NY goes home & the twin that sang....although she is beautiful, I don't care for her singing.....also didn't care for the one who was trained in opera...

So far I would say my top picks are:

1)Mandisa

2)Kelly

3)16 year old....I think is Lisa

4)Paris

5)Katharine

I think I will probably change my mind as the weeks go on!!!

Well I wont get to watch for about 2 months, but I so far have liked the basketball player

I'll have to tape Survivor if the two conflict on Thursday. I'm not too crazy about Paris' singing voice. I don't think she did a smashing job with Midnight Train...I thought she would sound a bit more bluesy on that song, but she did'nt. She had too many head and open eye movements and I think they were a bit animated. I think Mandesa is pretty, has a good voice and personality...I hope she goes far.

I didn't like Paris' song at ALL... nor did I care for her overacting and stagey mannerisms... I thought Simon would skewer her for that - he has gotten after people for much less in the past - but he liked it. Wow.

I love Kelly, liked her since the beginning because she is so cute but very emotional (Which I can understand). I agree that she will improve later on, she was very nervous.

Ayla is from Massachusettes so I have to like her

Mandisa is very good! I'm glad she stood up to Simon.

I think Lisa is awesome

NY HAS to go! Same with the Opera girl and the twin girl.

I loved the song choice, and I think she did a great job on it. I am going to wait and say who my most favorite is until I hear them all sing another time or two.
