AMHA voting info

Frank has asked me to post this:

After checking with the office, I can tell you that this information is correct, but has been totally misunderstood. What this post claims are ballots returned were, instead, nomination forms sent in to the office. The AMHA does not know how many members vote. The ballots go to the AMHA’s auditor and this organization simply tells the AMHA who won, not the margin of victory or how many votes were cast. So, in this post, two pieces of information taken from seperate sheets of paper, both factual but misunderstood, have been put together and presented as something they are not.

I got this information from AMHA today. This is for the 2007 elections for Directors for 5 regions.

This is fact, I have it straight from the person who put all of these facts and figures together. He also stuffed alot of envelops.

Region 8 674 ballots mailed out at the cost of $653.78 4 were returned for elections.

Region 9 1195 ballots mailed out at the cost of $1,159.15 11 were returned for elections.

Regions 10 432 ballots mailed out at the cost of $298.08 3 were returned for elections.

Region 11 244 ballots mailed out at the cost of $168.36 none were returned for elections

Region 13 408 ballots mailed out at the cost of $236.64 21 were returned for elections.

2953 ballots mailed out 39 returned.

THANK YOU for clearing that up. I could not believe that that was all the votes there were, but did not want to accuse anyone of not being truthful because I really do believe it was posted in good faith. Just goes to show how things can be misinterpreted.

Freeland, I think it was posted in good faith also. I think the information just got all mixed up.
