OK, I have AMHR papers on a horse.

I sold the horse.

On the back of the papers it has a spot to transfer ownership.

My question is, If I fill out the buyer's info and I pay the fee, will the papers be transfered to the buyer and SENT from AMHR TO the buyer?

And, will I have to send in yet more photos?

AND! I just got an application kicked back to me saying I had not included a mare on my stud report. BUT I DID!

But how can I prove that? No carbon on AMHR reports and the photo I took of the report before mailing it, (I have no printer) the photo was lost when I lost my old computer

Ask them to look for the hard copy, not just the one they put in their system. I had a mare that was pending and when they looked her up, she wasn't on the report, but the person I talked to went to the hard copy and found the mare. She just told me that when I register the foal to put a note on the application about the mare being on the hard copy.

As for the transfer, you don't need more pictures and while they should mail it to the new owner, it doesn't always happen.

AMHR's policy is to mail paperwork back to the person who submitted it. So if you send in the transfer for the buyer the papers will be mailed back to you and you will have to pass them on to the buyer.

I put a note on the papers requesting that they be sent to the new owners. Many times it gets done.

I have done the same as bevann. Just attach a note requesting they send the updated papers directly to the new owner.

I would definitely call AMHR and ask them to 'check again' for your mare's name on the stallion report. I just went through this with a 2011 foal that I registered. Got the paperwork back saying the mare was not on the stallion report. I looked at my report to see if I had left the mare off. Nope, she was on there! So I called and had the same gal check again. Her response was, "Huh, well I see it now." LOL Everyone makes mistakes. Grin.

Also Robin, it is a good idea to scan/photocopy all report that you submit so you know what's on it. I always scanned registration applications, papers (before sending for transfer etc.) stallion reports etc., and kept them in each horses file folder on my computer.

I know Mona, but like I posted, I don't have a printer. So I take pics of my stud reports! But I lost that one (2009) when I lost my computer & everything on it

I will call them. I'm meticulous with paperwork and I know I put her on there!
