Aspiring Cowgirl
Once again, I need to thank Erica for allowing me to purchase an outstanding horse. This makes an even half dozen she's let me call mine.
My new little girl is "Erica's Double Dipped", a 2004 perlino pinto mare who is out of Erica's beautiful mare, World of Miniatures Infinity (buckskin appy) and by Little King's BT Buck Bandito (buckskin pinto dun). Double is about 32" and really refined / petite and straight in her build (although a fat girl right now). I'm really happy and didn't think I'd be lucky enough to get another Bandito girl, let alone a double dilute. I remember admiring Double on Erica's foal page a couple years ago and playing "pretend" shopping (like, if I could pick any foal, who would it be...).
Double is a paternal sister to my little guy, DunIT and also a paternal sister to Erica's Oh What A Suprize, the little buckskin pinto dun mare coming here (then in foal to Big City!) next fall. Not only is Double kin to some of my own, she is also a FULL SISTER to NMMack's boy "Peanut". Bandito has sired many halter horses who are AMHR National Champions, Reserve National Champions, National Top Ten, Hall of Fame, National All Star, and AMHA Honor Roll horses.
AND, a very exciting note regarding Double is that she will be momma to MY first Destiny foal if all goes as planned! Erica's letting Double hang out at her farm until spring, when she and Destiny will spend some quality time together. Destiny himself won't come here until the fall of 2007, so my mares here would not date him until 2008. Given that Double is perlino, and Destiny (we think) is a smokey silver black (with dark lower legs), it seems like we'll have either a buckskin or a perlino foal and it will be Buckeroo bred top and bottom to boot!
Thank you all for looking and thank you so much, Erica, for helping me to build my little herd. I really DO think I'm done shopping now for a LONG time. I thought I was done when Erica let me know about Double. It just didn't seem like it would have been smart to pass up a nice double dilute mare like her given my current goals in miniatures. I really did think this one out and it was another "DunIT" situation -- the feeling if I didn't get her, I'd regret not doing so for years to come.
