Well, Moxie and I were at our 3rd dog show today!! She won Best of Winners, Best of Breed Puppy and Best of Breed (over a special!!)!!! That is another 2 points to add to her collection!

: So she is now one point shy of her championship!!! :new_shocked: :aktion033: I can't believe how well she is doing!! When I was getting the picture taken with the judge (Mr F.M. MacDonald from St.Albert, Alberta) he said 'You're going to have a lot of fun with this dog! Once she knows how to do all this stuff properly, she'll win like crazy.' I told him I was already having tons of fun with her....but I didn't think to tell him she was already one point away from her championship

: . Oh well...hopefully she'll pick up that point at our next show (Feb 17-20) in Markham, Ont. I am very much looking forward to that show!!!

lyn, I am taking her to the American Cardigan Corgi Specialty that is near Lexington, KY the end of May!! Not that I'm looking for points from there, but I can see how she stands up to some American competition! Then I might decide whether to go for her American Championship or not....of course the money end of it might play a role too...but we'll see!

: I would really like to go for her American Championship, since she will be done her Can. one soon!!!

:aktion033: (but I won't send her out to a handler either...so it will be up to me to get it!

Hey, way to go!! This is your first show dog, right? What a nice way to start out! You will definitely have to go for it in the States!

I haven't been to any Canadian shows in a couple of years. The last time was over in London where we had four sets of points in three days, including a specialty. We finished two dogs, start to finish, that weekend, what fun we had! We have two more Am. Ch. ******* that have never been to Canada yet...we need to go back.

:new_shocked: You almost have a flyer, which is a dog who getss its American Championship in 3 shows, all of which are 5 pt. majors. Her you need 15 pts. with 2 majs.

Kathryn that's great!!!!! :aktion033:

Can I live vicariously through you???

: We were VERY close to getting a puppy (actually a one year old pembroke) a couple of weeks ago, but life has taken us in another direction for now and we've decided to NOT go through with it at this time. He was to be my show dog (he's already won at four shows). I'm pretty sad about it, he was just gorgeous, exactly what I was looking for. But I know it would not be fair to him to start working so soon after getting him here. Plus, I won't have the time to dedicate to showing this year now anyhow (not with the changes coming up).

I hope you keep posting and sharing with us!!! :saludando:
