I was just wondering if anyone has used the wormer Anthelcide-EQ? I just got my Spring edition Jeffers catalog and they have a deal here and was just curious. I currently give EquiMax and Strongid paste wormers and I just switch them and worm my horses every other month. But this deal is a 1 year rotation pack and would like to get this wormer if anyone has used it and how they like it. What time of year should I be giving this wormer and should I have been giving it all along?

Thanks,

Jamie

I have used it before. The horses did not have any noticable problems with it. But I have not used it in the past couple of years, but I would use it again.

I used to use it quite a bit. Over the last few years, I've been using Safeguard or Panacur (same product class as Anthelcide EQ) in liquid version just because I prefer liquid wormers.

If you need a mild wormer that has a fairly high resistance among most worms- ie you wish to use a wormer that is similar to Fenbendazole as a five day course or as a foal wormer, this will be fine.

As a rotational, single dose wormer it has little use and I would not use it as such.
