Would love to know how she is doing, what her personality is, etc. Any updates?

Hi Danielle

Lucy Lu is fine, fat and sassy. She in now in with my main herd and finally making friends. She was very skittish when she got here but has come to realize she landed in the land of milk and honey. LOL Well grain and hay at least. Lucy even had her teeth cleaned and floated. The dentist, said someone had filed her teeth down to make her appear younger. She put Lucy at about 12 to 14 years old. Lucy stood very calmly to have her teeth done. The farrier is coming next week but all in all she's in good shape. She is becoming friendly and not as nervous around people. All she needs now is a permanent loving home where she can get more attention than I have the time for. Hint, hint!!

Thanks Ginny for the update. I was wondering how she was doing. If I had an stall for her I would have a transport to you in a flash! I can't believe someone would do that to her, the teeth thing, to make her appear younger. Oh, if only these animals could talk, I can imagine the story she would tell. I will see if I can perhaps find someone who would take her. I get so ANGRY when I see these minis going to a broker, like the other very young one in the same hands right now. I would love to come face to face with their breeders and give them a piece of my mind but then again you probably can't get through to people like that, they simply don't give a hoot what happens to the animals they breed. I always worried that this breed would go the route that the arabian did, the overbreeding, and I see this is now coming true with more and more minis showing up at low auctions or worse at the meat dealer, very very sad for the breed.
