Well it is now almost midnight, and I have to be up at 4 for work. However I cant sleep so thought I would update you all.
THey are now a week old(as of friday).
There started out to be 4 but I did lose one. THe other 3 seem to be doing exceptionally well. They have grown alot already and I do have good hope theses ones will make it. Casper has been out daily eatting and drinking this time. I know she is eatting as it goes down, plus every morning when I check on her the food dish is somewhere else in the cage.
The cage however needs to be cleaned very badly but I cant do so for at the bare minium of a nother few days. Your supposed to wait 2 weeks, however she is to messy and stinky to wait that long.
My other female, who im dont know why hasnt had babies. she looks preggers, her teats are all filled out but no kids. So im not sure if she is or not, she is at the age that she could be done haveen babies. However I will be bumed as she is my best mother. SHe has given me 2 litters and they were very good babies, and big litters. I only breed my girls once a year and they only live 3-5 years. That female is 2.
THe other girl I have, I held off breeding her until March. Dont need a over abundance of kids to tame and handle all at once. She also has big litters. She has only had one litter so far but it had 6 babies.
I am perfectly content with the litter of 3 I have now. I am hopeing one is albino like there mom so I can hange on to it. My older female, if she dont have babies will be the one my aunt uses on exhibits. She is super friendly so just about anybody can handle her. However she will need a massive diet if that is the case
