I know it's late, but I've been working on the last of the planning neccessities for my DIL's baby shower this Saturday. I finally have it all organized and all the food/games/prizes/gifts/decorations etc. all completed and set to go for the event this weekend. All except the "Punch Bowl".

I've been to baby showers before, but this is the very first one I've ever hosted and I have NO IDEA how to make the punch for the punch bowl.

I like it nice and simple. just mix lemonade (like Sprite) with a couple of different flavours of fruit juice...add a bit of lemon juice to taste and viola, punch!

Oh, and congratulations! Grandma!

Hi! I make a real easy punch that everybody seems to like.

Hawaiian Punch -fruit punch (I buy the biggest bottle and probably use 1/2) then add a container of raspberry sherbet after that all you do is pour 7-Up or Sprite over the top which helps break down the sherbet.

You can also freeze a ring of ice to add for looks.

2 liters of 7 up or sprite or ginger ale and a half gallon of sherbert, whatever color works. That is a wonderful, easy punch and very pretty, too.

Congratualtions on the new baby!

This is called Orange Halloween Punch, but you can use it anytime.

1 can 46 oz chilled pineapple juice

3 cups lemon lime soda-chilled

3 cups orange juice, chilled

2 liter bottle gingerale

1/2 gallon orange sherbet icecream

Combine chilled juices and soda, Stir in gingerale. Add dollops of sherbet to top.

Delicious!!

:yes

I forgot to say that with my punch recipe you can use any kind of sherbet but I personally prefer the raspberry. Rainbow sherbet makes it look real colorful and pretty for a shower.

For the ice ring you can use a bunt cake pan and add orange slices and marachino cherries to fancy it up and keep it cool. Just add what you think looks good and freeze it. Lime slices would look good too.

Cool beans ya'll!

Hey....let me get my two cents in....

I don't care for "cloudy" looking punch. So, I opt for the clear soda....any kind....a can of punch and a can of condensed lemonade.

Punch is meant to sit and be served over several hours so the lemonade keeps the flavor potent while the ice is melting.

You can vary the color of the punch as the season permits. You will have long lasting punch.

I also freeze 7 UP and lemon slices with whatever flowers are blooming in my bunt cake pan to make the ice ring for a

centerpiece looking attractive display. you need to freeze a little in the pan....lay in the lemon slices or any fruit and

the flower blossoms.....just the clean petals and pretty leaves. Then add more soda to finish the ring and finish freezing.

Hope you have a wonderful time!!!

For those of you tipplers out there you can add Capt. Morgan if you like.

I would also like to say and great big THANK YOU to all the ladies who gave some yummy ideas for the punch bowl! I think it turned out great, and the ice ring was a big hit! I never would have thought of that, if not for all of you helping with all your awesome FUN ideas for this punch bowl! I made a small portion of the "punch potion" and poured it into a bundt cake pan and then poured it over some slized lemons and limes, then froze it the night before. Then on the day of, it made a nice decorative touch, along with the rainbow sherbet (another great idea you ladies gave, THANK YOU SO MUCH), and kept the bowl nice and cool the whole afternoon.
