Has anyone here used it before?
since our vets here won't palpate or US a mini - they did the external sonogram last fall/winter. Very interesting to see the skeletal - legs, spine etc (I say that never seeing what an US produces). It was difficult with the winter woolies to get penetration to view on the screen sometimes - but it did produce results. We had an awesome new vet from Texas and he was told by the other vets in the clinic that external sonogram would NOT work on minis so he did it for FREE as a test basically. This year though, we'll have to pay and not sure what they'll charge. LOLThanks guys. Don't know if I will try it or not. Reasoning is that the closest vet who will do internal u/s is an hour away and it is WAY too hot right now. I dont want to stress out my mares driving them in the hot trailer. And the weefoal tests are $40 each. I've got about 14 mares to test. This BioPryn test is only $25. Quite a savings at that many mares.
Oh, and most of my mares should be at day 70-80 right now anyway.
I might just wait and let my local vet do an external ultrasound in a couple weeks.
