I'm looking for the NAME of some new pairs of black show pants that fit right.... I need belt loops cause I wear colored belts and wide enough legs to wear boots. I don't like them high waisted but not to low either to where your crack is showing. I have fairly good sized rearend and slim legs and wear a 12.

If anyone has the same build and loves their black show pants that are comfortable can you pass the name along. I'd appreciate it. TJ

Sounds like you and I are similar in size....

I wear Dockers. I have a pair of tan/khaki AND Black, but seem to wear the black ones more often.

Auras, sold at Cavendars. They actually fit a size or two smaller and make you look good!

I am not the same build as you, but LOVE my Hobby Horse show pants. They sit where they should on your wait, have belt loops and are wide enough in the leg to wear boots. However, they do run small in size, so keep that in mind when ordering. I have known several people, all of different sizes, who do Hobby Horse show pants and the pants fit everyone well.

I like Dockers a lot for the fit; in fact they offer a few different cuts so there is something for everyone. The only thing I don't like is that when the black ones have been laundered a lot, the color fades and they don't look dressy enough to me then.

I too like the dress black, but am not the dress type so much. So I get mine at Goodwill. Usually find a pair or two and are cheap enough to throw away when the time comes.

Thanks everyone for your input.... I appreciate it. I'll go on line and look at them and see which ones I like the best. It's so hard to figure out what looks good and what doesn't. The pants I have now are Guy Dickies and they're SOOOO big in the legs but fit fine in the waist it's killing me to get rid of them, but I look huge in them. Thanks again, TJ

Have you considered having the ones you own altered??

May be an alternative.

I thought about it, but they're so huge that I don't think they can be cause they're huge just in one area and then get small in the boot area. It's almost NOT worth it. Easier just to buy a new pair. Plus, I was hoping for something a little bit more dressier, not so rough and jean kinda looking, but smooth. I bought these cause I couldn't find anything else and I've NEVER been happy with them, and I think by altering them I'd still NOT like them. Thanks for the idea though. Oh plus, they have these HUGE pockets that hang off the side that make your hips looking even BIGGER then they are and I DON'T need that!!!!!!! TJ

Another vote for Hobby Horse. They have the regular (high) waist and a slightly lower waisted pant that I think is more comfortable. They have no pockets, but I always have a small pocket put into the side seam, can't handle showing with no pockets!

Sergeant's also makes a similar pair of show pants, very nice - front zipper instead of side zip that Hobby Horse has - but I could never get the right size.
