Buckskin

Can anyone tell if if all buckskins darken with age? Is so at what age are they their finished colour?

Ours haven't. They seem to stay the same. They do change with the seasons, but that happens to all our horses, no matter what the color!!

Ours have all been different..

One filly we bred/raised was born a creamy buttermilk buckskin with really dark black points, now as a 4 year old she's gotten VERY golden colored with "washed out" looking points:

Another filly has gotten lighter with age:

And out silver buckskin filly has gone through lots of change, she went from a peachy color, to a darker gold color, to very light and now starting to look more "gold" again:
