CDE People - How was HAPPS??

Am I nuts (well maybe) -- am thinking HAPPS was this past weekend.

How did it go?? Anyone out there that participated???

Yes, it was. Breanna should still be on a freeway somewhere in northern CA this morning on her way home and I am at work just now taking my first deep breaths since last Thursday so it will be a bit longer before I can post about it. Plus I'm not spilling the beans until she's safely home to add her own comments! Professional courtesy thing, you understand.

: :bgrin Suffice it to say it was wet, fun, and went well for everyone.

I will give you one teaser though: There were 75 total entries with 13 Training level VSE's, 1 Training level pair, 7 Preliminary VSE's, 2 Prelim pairs, and two(!) Intermediate single VSE's. That's the most pairs and upper level horses I think we've ever had!

Well, you know I'm excited to read about it!!!

Glad everyone had a great time and I hope that Breanna arrives home safely and with little complication . I didn't know she had been coming to Happ's!

PS-Pyro says hey to his favorite mutual chew-buddy! I wish I could have captured him out trotting around last night with his tail held high, but alas as soon as I went out with my camera it was all about heckling me and showing off his latest wicked pastimes of chasing kittens, little boys and Gramma Pony (which are not NEW pastimes, just new variations on a theme)

Favorite Mutual Chew-Buddy has gotten WAY spoiled by the RH gang, he spent most of the weekend trying to nibble on Fascination the way he did on Mouse after Jumper at Pacific Crown! He just did not get that when a mare pins her ears and snaps sideways at you it does not mean she wants you to bite back harder....

: He was starting to show signs of respectful adoration by the end of the show so one more facet of his education is complete. Now he's gotten to socialize with stallions (Falcon and my neighbor's Remington), foals (Pyro and Kyan), geldings (Mouse, Mingus, Don and others) and now mares in the person of Fascination. Just because all the boys wanted to breed him and none of the girls did....that's normal, right?

Yes, Breanna and I did a bit of an exchange program. I told her I'd come to Ram Tap if she'd come to Happ's and we both made it happen! She was sorry she didn't get a chance to meet you and Clickmini and Susanne and some of the rest of the NW gang while she was so close.

Isnt this the carriage driving event that happens here in Ethel ??near Chehalis Wa? I totally forgot that it was over the weekend, Ugghhh I even printed myself a remeinder but never looked at the printer geeze,

Nope, same Happ's Gracie! I'm so sorry you missed it, it would have been fun to meet you.

: There will be another CDE in Centralia in August, the pleasure driving show at Happ's in August and then the VSE driving trials in September you could come to. I'll be at all of them.

Of course, I opted for a weekend in hospital instead of at Happs! I am so bitterly disappointed to have missed all of you...and to finally meet Breanna. The event of the year, and there I was stuck watching HGTV... I started feeling horrible shortly after emailing you, so I apologize for dropping the ball on both of my promises.

I'd better look out, or the summer will be over and I won't have done a thing.

I can't wait to hear all the gory details!

You are not alone Susanne. I had planned to go to Happ's and check out all the new carts and say Hi to folks.

But sadly my body decided to be in extreme pain and not allow me to go. hrummph....
