What did you spoil your pets with this christmas?

Well, we kind of went all out for Sassy (my shih-tzu), now 6 months old
default_biggrin.png
. We put up her own personally mini tree, and decorated it with a santa and a plastic snow man around it, i thought it was cute and put lights and decorations on her 'mini puppy tree'.

I got Sassy for christmas one of those big candy cane's full of puppy buscuits, a very squeeky hamburger toy, a plastic tooth/breath toy, a rawhide bone, a woofle (it looks like a waffle and smells like it has syrip on it, just like a real waffle), a new ball that glows in the dark, a few new ribbons to sport at shows next year, a bag of beef treats AND one of the blingy B.B Simon Pink Diamond Collars which you will find her sporting at the show next year a well

.

I think she knows everything is for her lol, she wouldnt stop barking while we were wrapping her presents and after we put them under her tree, she wanted to investigate and actually jumped up in the chair and got on the table lol. She's a bit nosey

Adorable pictures! I just love your little Sassy! I have a Sassy too, but she is my first mini! She is a little gray almost 9 month old filly! Your little girl looks very happy! I'm sure she can't wait to get all those new presents!!

What a little CUTIE Leeana! I love her little Christmas collar(s) too! I got matching ones for Molly and Shimmer that are green and red with 4 little "jingle bells" on each. Molly still has hers, but Shimmer has already managed to lose 3 of her 4 bells! :DOH! This is not a great pic, but shows Molly's collar...can't see Shimmer's though.

We got "the girls" 2 new dog beds. They are sure big and plump compared to the old one! One is rectangular and the other is round. They also each have 3 other little gifts(toys) from us under the tree to open Christmas morning. Here is Shimmer appreciating the new bed.

And here are just a couple of "Merry Christmas" pictures that I thought were cute.

The horses don't get much (hmmm, well this year they did get a NEW BARN! LOL)...they get extra hay, and extra lovin' and individualized Christmas Greetings, but other than that, is just another day for them.

I used to decorate the barn for the horses! They just had weeks of fun tearing everything down.

And they always get a bag of carrots, Molly requests peaches (Her favorite), and I usually buy a bag of Mrs. Pastures Cookies for them!

The kitty is getting a collar

Sassy is too cute for words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have not wrapped the presents yet, but we will. Ours love it when we open the presents for them and act all excited about "OH???!!! What is this?????!!!!!" etc.

Our big dogs, Kelsey and Maggie, got different kinds of chew bones, busy bones, etc.

Our little dogs (shih-tzu's) got tons of stuffed animals. Winston and Willow especially love them. They've become progressively PICKY about what kind they like, too.

Willow has a passion for this one certain kind of fleecy cow that is roundish and almost as tall as she is. It will say "mooo" when squeezed. These used to be easy to find but we couldn't find ANY last year and this year found three (which we'll give her one at Xmas and then save the others until this one gets too dirty and gets washed -- thus silencing the mooo most likely).

Winston used to love fleecy toys that squeaked, then like Willow, moved up to fleecy ones that make animal noises. For the past few years, his favorites are ones usually made for little kids that make music and sing. He does this paddy paw nursing thing like a cat (never seen a dog do it but he's done it all his life -- weaned too young I think). He will do it when he is espeically happy and content. He will like "rock out" with one of his singing musical animals while nursing on the bad his whole body rocking from the nursing with his eyes closed (OMG, it is really, really cute). So, he has got a bag of singing musical things. Which is good because I'd very much like to pitch his current singing thing -- a dog that sings "Jesus Loves Me" in an annoying kid's voice...
default_biggrin.png

In addition to those specific types of stufties, they have some big fat round animal ones that make long animal noices.

Kesley got an orthopedic bed but we already gave it to her. The other dogs (4 shih-tzu, 1 lab x chow and even the Maine Coon who's bigger than a shih-tzu, sleep on our bed). Kelsey never has wanted to sleep on the bed but she sleep on the floor (previously a cedar dog bed) beside my bed. Now she has one that is actually like a real mattress and she loves it.

AND canisters of jerky and milk bones but they get those very day so that's nothing new to them. To get them to all come inside when I call, some of them require the promise of a "cookie" before they really hear me

We have 2 German Shepherds and a Jack Russell. The 2 big dogs will be getting new dog beds--the Jack Russell ate their real big one. :DOH! Under the tree, they will have tennis balls, rawhide bones and treats. We can't buy stuffed animals anymore--the Jack Russell makes it his mission to destroy them. He won't do anything else until the animal is completely shredded!!

Here's the little troublemaker!

Those pictures of everyones dogs are too cute.

We used to have a golden retriever/yellow lab cross. His name was bear. I always had a lot of balls, treats etc wrapped under the tree for the dogs. One day I went out in the living room and Bear had gone under the tree and had OPENED every single dog present. I guess he couldn't read because he opened everyone else's too. He was so funny just sitting there like "Is there anymore?" But he never touched a people present. Just the dog ones.

RedWagon, that is what my "killer" dogs are like here too! I cannot buy anything hardly anymore, or they destroy it FAST! I bought the stuffies this year from a $1 store so I don;t care what they do....at least they'll have fun shredding it up for about 15 minutes!
default_biggrin.png

Shimmer is so destructive, I even buy her hard rubber toys and she manages to ruin them too...just not quite as fast. :DOH!

Each year while I am wrapping gifts each Chritmas, I always think of "Rosie", a Whippet we once owned. We bought her as a pup, and she died just after her 13th birthday. She NEVER bothered with gifts under the tree, ever, except one year! It was the first year I had started to actually buy and wrap gifts for our dogs.

We had gone out and when we got back home, lo and behold, Rosie had manged to take a gift from under the tree and unwrap it. What still amazes me to this day, is that she took HER gift...never touched anything else, only took hers! HOW did she know it was hers?! Yes, of course I had the name tag on there, but she sure couldn't read! LOL! hat is definately one of my special Christmas memories.
default_wub.png
She could have destroyed EVERYTHING under that tree, but all she wanted was what was HERS!

We're down to 2 dogs this year...........but soon to be more!! Cami my Cairn terrier is due to whelp Jan 1!! She's getting soooooo big right now. She snuggles with me and then I rub her tummy.....and feel the puppies whiggling around. It's so cool! I'm getting nervous though because she's my baby! Duke is our giant Golden Retriever(120 lbs) who has a giant heart as well, he's looking forward
default_rolleyes.gif
to being uncle Duke! They both have their own stockings stuffed full of goodies. Under the tree is a cookie jar full of biscuits and they each have a new toy! Duke tends to tear up stuffed things also......he loves to find the squeeker! But I've found the "flying squirrel" seems to last a while and he'll carry it around. Cami gets a frog that croaks....she'll have to hide it from Duke! My parent's also bring gifts for the "grandkids"! They are truely spoiled rotten!

This is Cami

and this is Duke with Cami as a puppy!

Yes my sister has Sassys two brothers, they are nearly twice her size. I lost all the new photos of them on my old computer or i would post some new ones, hopefully i will get some new photos of them on Christmas. I am really so badly wanting to get Sassy a little friend her size to play with, her brother are two houses down and come over a few times a week ..if you say 'Boys' she runs to the door or perks straight up. Maybe next christmas
default_smile.png
.

Which reminds me, i need to get them a few gifts too ...just when i thought i was done christmas shopping!

I love all of the dog pictures, makes me want a dog!

My cats are getting a furry mouse each.

The horse is getting a new bucket, one donkey is getting a new feed pan and the other donkey is getting his own lead line and treats for them all the share...I can't forget to hang their stockings....

My dogs get entirely too much for Christmas...this year I'm cutting down...their toy boxes are already overflowing and they still only play with their "favorites"...I went to Target about 3 weeks ago and bought for my Mom/Dad, Inlaws, and Sisters dogs/cats...the bill was over $90...and it was all on clearance/sale...they are worth it...animals deserve Christmas too!
default_smile.png
...I buy for (aside from my two brats - a lab and a lab/terrier mix, see avatar
default_wub.png
)..a beagle, 3 other labs, 2 westies, a coonhound, a dorkie, a butterfly ear dog (I can't remember what they are called
default_wacko.png
), and an indoor taby cat. I think I am the only one who buys for my families dogs/cats, but it's just what I do! On my list for the nieces, nephews, also goes the dog/cat name.

I have no children so I love to give my dogs presents...I wrap them and they open them just like little kids...they love it and so do I.

This year my brats are each getting a large rawhide, dentabones, 2 stuffed animal toys each and 1 ball each, cookies, and a bag of pig ears...light Christmas for them. They would love to have some horse hoof (you know the pieces left over after you do a trimming!) so someone is going to have to mail me some of that since I'm out of minis!

We have 5 dogs. Maggie older chocolate lab, Kelly black Lab, Molly Yellow lab, Bree Black and Silver Mini Schnauzer and Levi Salt and Pepper Mini Schnauzer. They will be getting all kinds of dog treats boxes full stuffed squeak toys tennis balls 2 little coats for the Schnauzers (since they get hair cuts) and most of all lots of loving.

Adorable dogs everyone!

I also buy our pets Christmas presents. The dogs and ferrets have a great time trying to unwrap them and then when I finally unwrap the presents for them they get so excited to find out what is in there. I love watching them.

This year I had 4 dogs, 2 ferrets, 2 cats, and the horses to Christmas shop for. As far as the dogs go...Haylee is getting a ball which is what she gets every year. Somehow she always finds a way to destroy the ball I got her from the previous year. This year I got her one called the Everlasting Ball so we'll see if it truly is everlasting.
default_unsure.png
Kara is getting a huge Nylabone. Abby is getting a couple stuffed animals...with squeakers of course because she cant stand not being able to squeak her toy.
default_wacko.png
Lexi, our new baby, is getting the most of all cause it's her first Christmas. She's getting a stocking packed with 19 toys...they're actually cat toys but work perfect for her little mouth and a couple stuffed animals. All the dogs are also getting different treats. The ferrets are getting small stuffed animals and little cat toys. The cats are getting a special rich type of dinner and a bag of treats. The horses are getting new winter blankets. They are also getting a mid day treat of beet pulp soaked with apple juice and cut up carrots and apples.

Lexi meeting Santa. Her stocking is hanging in the background.
